Melody! OMG Did you see what the Koi Pond male unicorn sold for?
$2,136.17 O.O He really is gorgeous. I know he’s not something that could be replicated but would you consider painting another Koi schemed unicorn? Or maybe some “Fantasy grab bag young unicorn” colors on some adults for ebay? I really liked the Winterberry scheme you did a while back. I think she went for about $450 but hey-it’s tax return time 🙂
I love the crazy colourful schemes on the unicorns as well and would love to see more of the adults unicorns painted like that, although I honestly probably wouldn’t be able to afford one. I can’t believe how much that male went for at the last minute but that is a nice bonus for Windstone!

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.I knew that Koi Pond Uni would go for a pretty penny… its so unique and if more than one person “had to have him”, then it was going to be a bidding war, lol! That piece is like a grail piece !
Now this Winter Berry one…. she is my dream Uni…. I bid on her, but missed out. I should have tried harder to get her, as I cant get her out of my mind, and now Im sorry I didnt bid higher. She is the one I constantly kick myself over…. I wonder who ever got her ? 🙁

Don’t forget the other half of the equation. Just having a piece that people love is not enough. Adoration is great but ebay requires cash!
To drive prices that high you need two or more people who can afford to bid at those levels. That’s the surprising part for me, given the trend of ebay prices until this current batch of equines.
Im guessing we have a handful of Windstone Collectors that have the cash to spend… and some who go in debt to get what they want. Paypal can be funded with your credit card by those willing to do so 😉

Seeing how people fuss over the fantasy GB uni’s, I had a good hunch making some adult uni’s to go with them would be a great idea! I just never foresaw one being $2k worth! 😉 That is quite the accomplishment, that a uni went for what an ebay SK tends to go for (Unless I am mistaken at how high those go for? I don’t have a desire to have such a large fragile piece around, so I don’t watch them at all, lol) at the least a pair of production SK’s!

It *IS* tax return season 😉 The mother Koi Pond is gorgeous too. I’ve got my popcorn and soda watching the auction. She’s too high for my blood X_X I loooooo-ooove the colors on her. Even subtract the fishies and lilly pads etc-just those psychedelic greens, purples and blues-I’d still be in love with her.
I just wanted to say that I love the color scheme on the unicorns. The blue, green, purple and gold is just beautiful with or without the koi.
