Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.January 6, 2010 at 12:59 am #800700We had a teensy bit off snow last week that caught All the weather stations by suprise, but other than that, so far it has been a really tame winter. Very wet, but above freezing 🙂

We decided to live here after checking out many other nice places along the west coast. We traveled up to Washington, and down over to Arizona in the 80″s when we delivered Alberti Design prints to retail stores.
We had friends in Corvallis that we would stay with while passing through, so we would hang out here. We liked it.
One of our friends then found a nice property for sale and sent us a video of it. We immediately drove up here and bought it!We love it here. Corvallis has a lot going for it. We like: the mild wet climate, lots of cool fungus and wild things, affordable land, good air and lots of interesting residents who also came here because they like it here (almost all from California too).
It is a College town, so there are lectures, festivals, concerts and other interesting things happening around here all the time.
I keep telling myself I haven’t died and gone to heaven, but I am having trouble remembering that.I wanted to move to Oregon so I could own animals that were illegal in California, like gerbils, ferrets, rice birds, hedgehogs, etc. At the time the animal regulations for pets here were almost non-existent, so you could legally keep almost any animal.
Do you live in Corvallis, or around here?January 8, 2010 at 1:47 am #800702Ooh, it sounds awesome there! <3
January 8, 2010 at 2:10 am #800703But truly, the best part about Corvallis now would be living near the Windstone Editions factory.
That’s MY dream! XDJanuary 8, 2010 at 2:41 am #800704No doubt! 😆

That’s MY dream! XDJanuary 8, 2010 at 3:51 am #800705When I retire [hopefully] I was thinking of Oregon–not quite sure. Everything is still up in the air but I would like to be in a smaller community–not out on 40 acres–I’ll be older and alone so don’t need that much space. I want to be out of California somewhere, but I haven’t decided where yet.
January 8, 2010 at 4:30 am #800706I live in Salem, and yes I really do think Oregon does have it all. I have been to Corvallis a few times, concerts, lectures, festivals, although nothing recently, 🙁 What always impressed me the most about Corvallis was the people, very friendly, laid back, adveturous, helpful. It is really noticeable.

Yes, the people here are amazing. Every one we meet seems to have some wild story or some crazy passion for something.
