One of our production painters has been working on Copper Patina mermaids for the store. She wants to know what you think!
January 27, 2012 at 10:14 pm #871387I love it ! Just lovely . I want her !
January 27, 2012 at 10:18 pm #871390She needs a little more patina on her tail (and maaaayyybe her hair) and a LOT more on the rock-but besides that, I love her! I love the teal (gems?) in her eyes, and I love that she doesn’t have any patina on her skin. Makes her look sun kissed. I’d buy one!
January 27, 2012 at 10:20 pm #871393My daughter (4 years) saw this and says to me, “I have to have that beautiful mermaid Mom” she thinks for a moment and says “I’ll even quit eating like a pig at dinner if you buy me one” LOL! So I have to say I will be doing my best to get this one!
I agree with Wolfen, a little patina in her tail, and hair…but definitely love that she has none on her body. Wolfen said it perfectly ‘Sunkissed’
Can’t wait!
January 27, 2012 at 10:31 pm #871396Yes, what Wolfen said… She’s lovely!

*** Always looking for Brindles..*** AWD Pieces **** Lavender Coiled Mother with Globe**** if you have one you would like to sell or trade please contact me ?
January 27, 2012 at 10:44 pm #871398I’d definitely echo the more patina crowd for tail and rock. Personally, I’d also either darken/antique or patina her hair a bit more too–it’s more pinkish in tone than her skin. Use that pinkish tone & a bit of gold for highlights on the skin instead (looks at copper male sitting next to me, where both colors help define muscle and add accent.)
I’m normally a fan of “less is more” as far as the turquoise patina goes, but in this case I think it needs a little heavier hand. Neat idea though, can’t wait to see the finished result!
January 27, 2012 at 10:48 pm #871399I love her skin the way it is . I have 3 Sea Jewels . She’s one of my very favorites .
January 27, 2012 at 10:50 pm #871400Love that the skin has no patina, as others have said. I would perhaps do something to better delineate her tail from the rock – more patina on the tail, perhaps? That would look lovely and “weathered” compared to the rock and her shimmery skin!
January 27, 2012 at 10:54 pm #871401A tiny bit of amethyst (sp) on her tail or rock like that guardian dragon gargoyle .
January 27, 2012 at 11:14 pm #871405I really love her! A yes vote from me! 🙂
January 28, 2012 at 12:43 am #871419I’m just in love with her as she is . Sigh . Will buy her when she comes in the store . Please leave her skin copper , it’s beautiful .
January 28, 2012 at 1:13 am #871425Am I the only one who thinks that her eyes look a bit freaky?
January 28, 2012 at 1:31 am #871428I find her creepy too…..it’s just my opinion though. The eyes especially.
January 28, 2012 at 2:58 am #871437I’ve spent some more time lookin at her and trying to figure out what I might suggest……
I’d love to see her with this skin tone, but with dark hair (like graphite or black), and dark eyes. Then maybe heavy patina the tail. Truly I’d like the rock to be rock colored….but ah well. Sunkissed latina patina sea jewel.
