Personally I love the Emperors, but I know I’ll never be able to afford one of Nam’s either. He’s pretty though. Someday, when I win the lottery, that may change! 😆
October 22, 2007 at 7:54 pm #628434Huh! That’s interesting – his head has never struck me as too big, though it’s certainly chunky! I guess I just always put that off to big dominant males having features like that…the heads of my male dwarf rabbits are easily twice as big as the females sometimes.
As for the wings, all the wings on all the dragons are too small…but that’s just a symptom of the medium.
The only thing that’s ever bothered me about the emp is his tail – it seems way too short to me, and very stubby at the end…"He that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom."

October 22, 2007 at 8:50 pm #628436He is absolutely stunning
October 22, 2007 at 9:17 pm #628437He’s beautiful. Sigh, no way I can afford him though. I’ll just drool over the pictures. 😉
October 23, 2007 at 1:27 am #628438Wow.. I like him even better than the Neptune emperor. Melody should definately do another brown-themed production color. Browns are so prety when done right! (especially with red eyes!) 😀

I thought of you when I was gluing his eyes in! 😀

The only thing that’s ever bothered me about the emp is his tail – it seems way too short to me, and very stubby at the end…When Mom was teaching me to draw, she gave me a rule of thumb about heads. The length of the head shouldn’t exceed the length from the creature’s whithers (shoulders) to chest. I remember hearind Melody had to extend the emp’s head so it could rest on his chest to facilitate casting.

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw him. Green eyes…
I never liked the sculpt either, until I saw the Neptune 😯 …although he was not in the colors I usualy like, he was so gorgious and this one being brown, rust, green and pearly… well it was love at first sight! 😀October 23, 2007 at 7:29 pm #628444Greater Basilisk wrote:When Mom was teaching me to draw, she gave me a rule of thumb about heads. That’s really interesting! 😀 Cool!

Here’s the description from the gallery:
Quote:This is another one that photos can’t really represent. His colors shift depending on the viewing angle! It’s very neat. He’s overall metallic copper tones, with green highlights, shaded to deep oxide reds. He’s real pretty and easily my favorite dragon to date. He has a genuine, natural garnet and peridot in his forehead and 18k gold leaf accents.
These were taken in the full sunlight:
Nam, this guy is ridiculous! I dont know how you do it~ I am truly thinking about selling something (Lung, kidney, whatever) to help me bid on that guy when the time comes.
October 23, 2007 at 8:03 pm #628447I really really love his shoulder and back…
