Since everyone enjoys showing off their PYO creations. I’m thinking why not have an annual contest. Like the oscars or something but for paint your own creations. This of course will only work if it is not taken over seriously (no pouting and whining allowed, nor to much gloating either) but it can be really fun and good way to show off your creations.

You could also have it be a “scene” of some sort… show off your PYO in a holiday scene… or fantasy… or just realistic… there could be more than one category for the photos….
We do something kinda like this in the Model Horse Hobby… it’s called “photo showing”. There are placings… and different “classes” that you can enter. Generally Breed classes for the horses… but these could be more themed categories. 😀
The scene creation Idea is great! One could even make their own story with photographs and have their different paint your own characters interact.

My art: featherdust.comYeah. Although a contest is a good idea, and I’m sure most of us would just have fun with it, there’s always somebody that’s hurt to lose, or is a sore loser.
The idea is neat, but I can’t see an official contest ever happening.
HOWEVER! What’s to say we can’t have unofficial ones? All you need is a prize, and you can come up with one yourself, I bet. Or one of the artists here could offer a drawing, or something.
hmm….isn’t that kind of what the gallery is for though….
some people vote….there’s just no prize involved….hehe
I could care less about a prize….just go vote…and leave a comment in the gallery…..
(although….sometimes you get the wrong vote…I got one of those LOL)

Maybe she’ll consider it comming from her nephew…but then again, I don’t know. I made a suggestion for this type of thing on my friend’s warcraft forum and they had a ball with it. I remember they even had a catagory “most likely to be assaulted by richard simmons” Everyone proudly displayed their specially won avatars. So i thought it might work here.
