Aww . . . thanks everyone! 🙂 I spent most of yesterday in a sort of daze (“Did I really bid on that? Did I really win that? OMG, did I really spend that much money?” 😯 ). And the rest of the day was completely nuts and not very pleasant, so it was nice to have something happy to think about. I didn’t even get to the Forum yesterday, it was that bananas.
I still can’t believe I won. I was expecting the auction to shoot the moon like the first one did. I logged in just to see the auction end. And then saw where it was holding, and did some hasty math, and figured What the Hey. I’ve been wanting an SK for a while, and the red gold is just so gorgeous, and those eyes! The eyes got me!
I will certainly take some photos when she arrives; we’ll see if my poor camera can do her justice. And now I need to figure out where I can display her. That is going to be a challenge. Someplace that the pets can’t get to her. Preferably behind glass. Oh boy.

Okay! 🙂 That could be fun. I just hope nothing goes wrong as far as getting her here. I had a heck of a time with PayPal yesterday: it kept refusing to add on the sales tax! I found a way to send the full amount, but I’m a little worried that it’s going to cause confusion. I guess I won’t rest easy until she gets here safely.

I live in Lodi also and have a camera but I’m not sure how to post pics yet. I would LOVE to get pics of my 2 SK’s on line but I’m not sure how to get it here. I have a Cannon something or other. Lodi is only about 30 miles from Sac. If you can put up with my cats you can both even come over to my house and see all the old retired ones I have, including the Brown Emperor and all the Special ones I have and help me get pics on line of mine. We could take a group picture of all 3 SK’s together. I myself would suggest a day trip to the wharehouse and pick her up in person and meet all the wonderful people at Windstone. I would have to see what my mom says. we are pretty busy lately.
I am sure she will get there just fine Bardwing if you don’t pick her up down there.

Windstone photoshoot! Fun idea, DM! A day trip to LA would be quite an adventure; I’d have to check on that with hubby. Got to scram for work; we’ll see what the day brings. 🙂

Yes, lots and lots of photos that we can drool over and complain about because they’re not in production yet 🙂
I get there pretty fast because I usually leave at 4-5AM there is very little traffic up here at that time and by the time I’m in LA the traffic has died down so even driving the speed limit or little above it’s been easy. I usually just but on the cruise control and call it a day. I can’t speak for how long it would take if you left in the middle of the day. That would be my suggestion that way you know for sure that she will get home in one piece and you get to meet everyone also
