So of course we all know there are herds of horses, flocks of seagulls, gaggles of geese, litters of puppies, packs of wolves…even a pride of lions.

      (This link is very amusing)

      BUT!………

What do you call a group of Dragons? Or Unicorns? Or Griffins? Flap cats? And we know a group of Poads is called a clutter. 😉

Didn’t we decide earlier that a group of dragons was a “debt.” 😆

I read somewhere that a group of unicorns is called a “glory,” but I can’t remember where now. It might have been in a Bruce Coville book… I read an awful lot of middle-grade fantasy when I was in middle school 🙂

A group of unicorns is a “blessing”.

            “Debt”!! Hahahaha! That’s great!

I think I’ve heard “glory” for unicorns, too, but that also might have been from Bruce Coville.

I had to look Bruce Coville up… his name was familiar, and for good reason. I still have Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher and the My Teacher series packed up and waiting for me to have kids.

I’d never heard “glory” before, though I can’t argue with that one either. It fits as much as “blessing”, and it’s not uncommon for animal groups to have more than one name. “Blessing” is listed on Wikipedia though… and we all know that’s the definitive source of reputable information 😉 (I kid… it’s often helpful, but not perfect)

“Debt” is good for dragons… I can see “horde” being used too. (Doesn’t quite roll off your tongue the same way, but does stick to the silliness of naming schemes… Crash of Rhinos and all )

              Great link, Wolfen!
Now I’m curious what a group of basilisks is called. 😆

A glory of unicorns is from Bruce Coville. I’ve never heard a blessing of unicorns. I remember in one fiction novel that I read they had something like a serenity of unicorns.
