So Im sure most of you collect non-Windstone things in addition to the WS addiction. So what do you collect? I want to know what everyone collects regardless of how weird it may be. Pictures are encouraged.

Animation Cels from various movies and TV shows(Land Before Time, Inu-Yasha, American Tail, Miyazaki to name a few)
Pocket Dragons
Pewter Dragons (all types)
Kotobukiya figures from various video games and anime.

May 15, 2011 at 8:35 pm #845417I collect a ton of things, but I’m trying to narrow everything down.
I collect…
G.G. Santiago unicorns, dragons, horses and pegasaiNice wolf things
Mushroom stuff (S&P shakers, books, home accessories)
Okapi stuff
Breyers-only certain ones(Clydesdales/shires/draft horses, Halloween editions, Christmas editions)
Grand Champion Clydesdales/draft horses
Secret Wish Horses-have 3 of the 6
Call of the Wolf wolfies
Fantasy Fillies (FINALLY completed my collection!! Still missing the Growing Hair Princesses and mini fillies, but Im not worried about those-theyre VERY htf anyway)
Cute Halloween themed stuff-ghost votive holders, skeletons, black cats, ravens etc.
Colored glass-not depression glass-I know that’s another expensive collection and Im trying to avoid it!
Cute alligator stuff
Fabric for quilting
Vintage jewlery
Garfield (the cat) stuff. Ive liked Garfield my ENTIRE life! I was a little kid in diapers, sticking comics that Mom cut out of the paper for me, up to the fridge at knee level in the late 1980’s. (Im 25, you do the math!) Ive got almost a full set of the comic books, a phone, a watch, some plushies, pez dispensers, cups…and I just applied for a Garfield credit card (yes, Im a dork!) One day I’m going to lay off the Windstones for a couple of months and get more Garfield stuff.
Things I USED to collect…..
My Little Ponies-I had over 300 and a full room to display them in. Now I dont have room to display them, so Ive been selling off a lot of my collection. I had a nearly mint, gorgeous, wonderful Brazil rearing Milky Way. She was easily the gem of my collection. I sold her to help pay for my new car. At $350, she made a nice dent. I miss her :(( But not when Im ridiing around with the T-Tops off on a nice day, listening to my favorite song. 🙂I also used to actively collect unicorns, but again, gave this up to focus on my Windstone collection
Vintage Littlest Pet shops (had almost the full set as a kid-still have many but sold some off :((
Grand Champion horses of all kinds
Kitty Kitty Kittens (plush kitties that purr when you tilt their heads)
Lion King stuff-I was like the #1 biggest fan when the movie came out. I have all the action figures, almost a full set of the first set of trading cards, 2 shaped charachter pillows, bed sheets, pillow cases, playsets, plushies, jewlery, soooo much stuff! I still have most of it, but Im not actively adding to it.
My boyfriend’s mom thinks Im a hoarder. I have nice collections, not junk 😛 I was so offended when she sat me down and tried to talk to me about my *cough* “problem”. Hey, my stuff paid for my car, lady! 😛
May 15, 2011 at 8:43 pm #845416SQUEALS!!!! STITCH PLUSHIES!!!!!! I have quite a few of those myself! Stitch is SO FREAKIN’ CUTE! I actually have a few you don’t, maybe I can sell ’em to ya ^_^ They’re all just in plastic storage bins in my attic.
I have a collection of Gloomy Bear Plushies <3 Both my bedroom closet shelves are FILLED plus they are in the living room in lue of accent pillows ^_^
I also collect anime DVDs and anime figures & Manga & art books from my favorite series! YAY! How does that otaku saying go? Anime vs. Crack…. crack is cheaper! LOL!
I have a couple of "little collections" of stuff. Like My Little Ponies and other vintage 80s toys from my childhood. Bunches of different trading cards… hmmm…I guess I collect cosplay costumes too since I have a good amount of them as well ^_^

A small sampling of each collection 🙂

Garfield is THE Cat!
Once a day, every day, I make sure to stop by the website to check out “today’s comic”.
May 15, 2011 at 9:24 pm #845427Toad collection?
Just kidding. Those are just the ones I caught on my driveway last night long enough to snap a pic.
May 15, 2011 at 9:55 pm #845428I’m not sure I consider myself a “collector” of these things, but I sure have a lot of them:
Breyer/Peter Stone horses, and now some unpainted resin models
Comic Books
PVC statues of my favorite video game characters
Sylvanians/Calico Critters
Books, books, and more books
Anything that can be made into rat toys/forts
Stuff/junk/dust/more stuff =PI’m sure I’m forgetting things.
I’m actively trying to acquire unpainted resin horse medallions to paint. I have 8 now, and I check MH$P often trying to snag a few long sold out ones I really want. I’m also always on the look out for any cool or nice looking rat related items.

What are those?
May 15, 2011 at 10:09 pm #845431books, books, and another ton of books. I have some rare books, but the intent is to have my own library not to collect anything particularly rare.
I have a victorian dollhouse I’ve fixed up, so I get new things for that every now and then. When I find old dollhouses or kits I might buy them to fix them up if it’s near Christmas because I participate in this community Christmas wish thing and there are generally a kid or two who wants a dollhouse. I have boxes of furiniture and accessories so I don’t really actively go after stuff anymore unless there is a miniature show going on.
Magic the gathering, I used to play and have a ton of old cards I need to just sell and get rid of. Heh, anyone play MTG and want to trade like 1,000 4th edition, ice age, visions, prophecy etc, for Windstones?
My anime and manga collection is starting to come along nicely.
Hmmm what else…I have a small collection of snarky buttons I randomly pin to my messenger bag, cuffs, etc. Windstones are definitely my top collecting obsession.

Sorry, crappy phone pics:
These are ones that I own. All of them are about 3″ to 5″ inches tall. Depending on the piece, some are flatter while others are more sculptural. Here are examples of some others:

Hehe, my hubby and I are both hoarders (I hate thowing stuff out, dunno why) and the other day I actually looked up the symptoms of a hoader….and I have most of them. I am trying to clean out the house, and I’m not finding it too easy!:D Is it any wonder why you and I are attracted to dragons who are known for having hoards? 😀
May 16, 2011 at 12:53 am #845458Hmm,
I collect rocks, shiny ones, pretty ones, weird ones, big ones, etc. Whenever someone I know goes to another state/country/etc, I ask them to bring me back a rock, so I’ve got rocks from all over the world.
Windstones, of course.
Ball Jointed Dolls-had over thirty at one point, but am down to about 15.
Dragon plushies-lots and lots of them!

AIN’T IT THE TRUTH!! 😛 LOL!
Besides anime and Windstones, I’ve whittled it down to the following…
* I have a nice gemstone/mineral/fossil collection. Some of my favorites are my 2 Louisiana opals (the mine is now closed so I cherish them), dino coprolite, and my iridescent pyrite sun (it’s probably dyed, but it’s soooo pretty).
* A little collection of RPG minis.
* I love my books! Artbooks, cookbooks, novels, scientific, esoteric, gardening, pets, etc. It doesn’t matter, I can’t get rid of any. Most of them are packed up right now for a hopeful move in the fall. I feel bad about that, it’s like I’m betraying them. LOL.
* And I still have my eraser collection (and a few other stuffed animals and toys) from the 80s packed up somewhere.
