Today, May 23, 2014, we released the first of our Mother Coiled Dragons (#511.5) in emerald-peacock and in lavender pearl. Please note that this is the SAME Mother Coiled Dragon sculpture that has the golden egg – Melody only changed it to hold a crystal ball instead of an egg because we didn’t think we would have eggs again – the rest looks the same as the old #511 Mother Coiled Dragon. We may have eggs again and may well do this same Mother Coiled Dragon with an egg the way we did it in the past. (I foresee some confusion, but that keeps things interesting!)

I prefer the golden egg, but I’ll take her with the crystal globe!
Love the Lavender Pearl 🙂
Not to jump the gun or anything, but purely out of curiosity, do you know what colours might be coming up next?
I’m sure it’s always a pain for Windstone to produce something and then have us asking “what’s next?”
I’m hoping that she’ll come out in colours I already have in the mom-with-egg version so I can resist them better.
Anyway, I’d love to see her in BVP, Rainbow, Sand, and Old Green.
Thanks to Melody for the creative solution. It’s wonderful to see the Coiled Mom back in the store.Life is beautiful.

May 24, 2014 at 1:51 pm #913016Black Gold and I’m sold. Lol…
ETA: What’s the story behind the egg thing? (Is it already on this forum somewhere and I just missed it?) what about using a Cadbury mini egg? (Yum! Lol)… Oooh… Or making the coiled mother dragon like a candy dish for chocolate mini eggs… Or one Cadbury creme egg. Mmmm. I would so have to buy that, lol!
May 24, 2014 at 5:57 pm #913021I’d love an old green one with a stone egg! Know it’s not happening, but that would be awesome!

I wish we could find mineral eggs in a size that fit! They don’t make ’em that small, we looked!
At least for a price that is do-able.May 24, 2014 at 9:04 pm #913028Black Gold and I’m sold. Lol…

At least for a price that is do-able.Glass eggs, maybe? I was at a gem and rock show some years ago, and I bought a small, solid glass egg. I am not sure how small the egg with the Coiled Mother is, as I don’t have one, but comparing the images of the egg version with the glass ball version, it looks like the glass egg I have might be about the right size. Of course, I can’t remember how much the darn thing was, and for all I know, buying them in bulk could get pricey. If they were the right size.
Edit: I really just need to retire my camera already (it’s a reeeaaally old digital camera, simple point and click). Oh well, best picture I managed to snap. I used Silvius (my coiled dragon) and Pim, plus a few coins, to illustrate the size. Looks like it might actually be too big, I don’t know. Oh, the egg is a lot prettier than it looks in that picture, it kind of has these shimmer lines that move when you move it, vaguely like a star sapphire, except not a star burst, just parallel lines.
May 27, 2014 at 3:05 pm #913095I looked for two months for stone, glass, or crystal eggs that are the correct size. Either they don’t exist, or they are just that impossible to find. The sculpture would have to be modified to take a larger egg if stone ones were used. Even the smallest currently available stone eggs might look silly because they are still pretty large.
