Here’s my first phoenix, inspired by my Chukar Poad. The rock went through an identity crisis or two, but all in all, I really enjoyed painting him.

Awesome dragonmedley! I haven’t seen anyone take on a phoenix in these colors yet and I think you did a really good job, I especially like around the eyes and down the front scales (I dont know the technical term for that part :lol:)

Very nice job! I like the color combination. The peacock eyes on the tail feathers came out real good. The rock dosen’t look bad at all. In my humble opinion, you really have to go light or extremely dark with the rock or it would blend in to much with the phoenix. Great Job Dragonmeldley! π
