I got some Windstone trades in with some favourite pieces I will post pictures of soon so that made my month getting those in! My boyfriend and I who have been on and off for 6 months had a couple tough days since his aunt passed away a couple weeks ago and his family was going through a lot. The one thing I didn’t get that I wanted was to spend Christmas with his family but because of their grief in dealing with everything they didn’t want to have anyone over for Christmas. So Brian and I had our own Christmas time. He helped me make a turkey and everything for dinner on the Fri. night and we had some friends over for dinner and a games night so that was good. He saw his family on Sat. and Sun. half the day and spent the rest with me. I saw my mom the rest of the time and decorated our Christmas tree Christmas Eve last minute. Brian gave me a lovely ammolite necklace for Christmas which is something special to me as my dad had given me one years ago that I unfortunately lost in a move. So that was a nice present. I got him some new clothes, dress shirts and ties for his new job. We also had a fun New Year’s eve at a dance party with friends and then on New Year’s day went out for dinner and a movie, so overall it was a good holiday.

I realize I’m getting to this late, but I received something I’d been wanting for a long time: the version of The Neverending Story book that looks like the one from the movie! (It’s one of my favorite movies and books!)

^I’m pretty sure this version of the book has never been “officially” produced. It’s easy to find regular versions of the novel but to get this, you have to find it on one of a couple or a few geeky websites from sellers that hand make it (it’s leather bound and everything!). That’s why it’s so expensive- a couple hundred dollars! Which is why I hadn’t bought it for myself, haha. But I love it. <3

Oh my gosh that is my favorite book and movie of all time. Actually the Song by Limahl is also my favorite song. I was lucky to see the movie as a child in the theatres. I love Falkor. I wish we had a luck dragon windstone! Artax and the swamp part in the book was much more sad than in the movie as he talked in the book and basically gave up in the swamp from all the despair and grief he felt.. tears even typing about it. Auryn is gorgeous.. I would be on cloud forever happiness to have a version of the book like yours.
^Well, start saving and you can order it eventually! I may be able to find you a link if you want. It’s definitely awesome! I have it displayed on a shelf between a couple of dragons, haha.
I’m actually dressing as Atreyu for a convention in April! I’m a pretty small person and can pull off a young boy pretty well, lol.
