So, as I’ve mentioned, I’ve been sending out PYOs to a few friends of mine, whom I know shall appreciate them. (I still have one who MUST have a green eyed dragon, so I’ve told him his gift will be late, but worth it.)
Anyhow, thus far I sent two ki-rins, two dragons, and a griffin. All of which, save the griffin, have now been opened, and all of which were greeted by the recipients with enough happyness and glee to more than pay me back for the expense and effort involved. I really love it when people are thrilled and excited at something I’ve given them. So I was feeling very pleased already!
And then one of my friends decided to send me a Windstone in return! He lives in Australia, so he can’t get them readily, but he just paypaled me with a note saying the money was for me to buy the dragon bookends! Which makes me very happy, as they’re ones I probably wouldn’t have gotten around to buying myself for quite a long time to come, and yet I do drool over them every time I see them.
So next week I shall be mounting an expedition to the mall, there to buy a pair of dragon bookends for my very own self! Heeeeeeeeeeeeeee! *bounces*
December 24, 2006 at 7:19 am #519681Cool, SPark! I’m glad for you. The dragon bookends are beautiful and heavy enough to hold anything.
December 24, 2006 at 8:10 am #519682That’s really cool. I hope we will see pics when you have them proudly displayed. 😀
December 24, 2006 at 8:12 am #519683We’re moving into a new place next month, so the plan is to take another set of collection pics once we’re moved in.
Though I need to get a new display case… the one I’m using now is kinda built into this house, and I can’t take it with me. That and it’s much too small now!
December 24, 2006 at 9:09 am #519684Now that is a nice Christmas present! I really cant wait till after Christmas to see what everyone got. And Spark…you let them open them early??? LOL, my family did the same thing. They opened their gifts in October!!!
December 24, 2006 at 9:24 am #519685Two of them opened them the instant they came in the mail! One peeked, just to make sure it arrived unbroken, he’d guessed what it was, one opened it today because he wanted to do it while I was on line, and one is waiting till the proper day.
(And one is waiting on getting it at all, because I need green eyed dragons!)
December 24, 2006 at 8:27 pm #519686That is a cool story Spark. I really hope my sister likes her PYO.
