I think it’s nice and fun to see others christmas trees, to see the different ways each decorate it, so please post yours. 🙂
Here is mine: I’ll try to get a better picture.
It’s decorated with a lacy white ribon and a brown one too with copper, brown balls and birds….oh and some real glass icycles…I love those!
I redid my tree…found some decoration stored away in a paper bag. 😀

I’ll post a pic when we’re done decorating. =)

December 2, 2008 at 2:59 am #743596Oh your tree is so beautiful!!! I like it a lot! 😀
We had a tree, but it got ruined last winter, but if it just so happens that we can get a tree to decorate this year, then I will post pictures!
I really want to see everybody else’s trees! 8)
Edited because I shouldn’t complain.
:spank: Bad eaglefeather! :spank:December 2, 2008 at 3:32 am #743597I’ve had this tree since Michel, my son, was 1 year old…so basicly for 18 years. It’s still in nice shape since it was always handle with care by me. I decorated this tree for 18 year by myself each time since Michel can’t help much except this year he was able to hand me the ornaments 🙂
I decorated it this past saturday.
I didn’t put the two sets of branches that go at the bottom for two reasons: place to put the gifts and my cat Raven like to eat the branches….grrreaglefeather831 wrote:I am hoping we can, because it is Chloe’s first Christmas, and I REALLY want to get those “baby’s first Christmas” ornaments.
I got some ornaments with my son’s picture back for his fist christmass and a rocking horse, soldier and teddybear sitting on a train for his own ornaments. 😉

Mine is a……
Overturned pineapple top! We go to GP every year so there’s no real point in getting a Christmas tree for the apartment. So we buy a pineapple and decorate it out of entertainment. This is year 2 of the Pineapple tree.

We had a tree, but it got ruined last winter, so we have to buy another one, but I am afraid we can’t this Christmas due to KC’s job. I am hoping we can, because it is Chloe’s first Christmas, and I REALLY want to get those “baby’s first Christmas” ornaments.
I know…”boo hoo” I’m sorry. 🙁 But if it just so happens that we can get a tree to decorate, then I will post pictures!

Check around at Thrift/ second hand stores, or even Walmart for the little itty bitty trees, even if it is for just one year. I think you can get a small table top tree for something like $8 or less that assembles in like 2 minutes. I’ve seen lots of stuff like that in thrift/second hand stores near me. If you have a large, sturdy indoor plant, you could try decorating that, to be creative. Make paper ornaments with construction paper, paper, marker, glitter, paint, etc., like the garlands that kids make in school. Popcorn and dried fruit (or just popcorn) work too. Another idea is like the easter trees that some people put up with blown eggs on them. You take a stick with lots of twigs on it (or a bunch) and put it in a can filled with dirt or sand (anything that will keep it sturdy and still) and decorate it with light ornaments. I’ve used paper clips for hooks before. String and ribbon work well too. Just some ideas for if you are stuck to a very slim budget! :}
I think most people are looking to be thrifty this year, whether by choice or by need.

December 2, 2008 at 5:08 am #743604I have a small tree that my mom set up in my house a few years ago when Danny was really sick and we couldn’t put a tree up of our own. I told her not to set it up because Danny was depressed and didn’t want to be reminded of the holidays but she came over while I was with him in the hospital and set it up anyway. I still have it around here somewhere, if you want it eagle I can send it to you. Danny wants me to burn it anyway so at least it will go to good use. Its one of those trees that you can set up on a table, maybe 2 feet tall or something like that.

You can always pick up one of the “baby’s first Christmas” ornaments even if you don’t have a tree to hang it on. Just save it for when you have a tree to hang it on.
We have our artificial pre-light tree up but no ornaments on it yet. I spent tonight changing out the light bulbs (21 of them) that have burned out since we got the tree 6 years ago. Too bad I only had 20 replacement bulbs. Funny thing was the majority of the bulbs that had burned out were near the top 1/3 of the tree. I wonder why that was.
Hubby and I plan on hanging the ornaments tomorrow. It will be the first time in a while that he will have gotten to help hang ornaments.
December 2, 2008 at 6:05 am #743606Lovely tree, BDW. I really like your taste in earthy tones.
Here’s mine, very classical:
