Hi Melody!
I wanted to ask about your signing the limited production pieces and including COAs…is this something you are phasing out??? I ask because I bought the brown coiled mother, and she is the only limited edition brown piece I’ve got that hasn’t been signed and did not include a COA… 🙁 I for one LOVE the COAs – they make the piece more special for me…that and it being signed really makes it feel like a limited piece. So I hope that this isn’t something you’re giving up."He that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom."

September 13, 2007 at 10:23 pm #616458I think they are limited. My brown Scratcher came with a COA, and I’m pretty sure he was signed too.

So I hope that this isn’t something you’re giving up.The first limited production pieces were signed and included COAs. John felt that we were producing too much signed stuff, so I quit signing the new “limited production” things that we are producing, such as the brown curl dragons. However, A piece that was once limited production and sold signed will not be sold unsigned. They will be discontinued when we sell a reasonable number of them. These are things like the Pearl griffins with blue eyes, and the brown, and the white dragons that are signed.
We made up a new category called “Artist Editions” for the signed, and limited things that we do now, such as Olimpia’s and Nambroth’s pieces.. These will come with a coa,(Or card, in the case of the Poads(tm))
… and then there are the “limited editions” which are closed editions of a certain number, signed, numbered and come with with a COA.We are complicated.
September 14, 2007 at 4:18 am #616460I’ll say. How do you keep track of it all? 😯 😆
September 14, 2007 at 4:33 am #616461Pity. I liked the COAs.
September 14, 2007 at 6:47 am #616462I like them too, but I def understand the ramifications of having too much signed stuff.
September 14, 2007 at 9:57 am #616463I like the COA’s too
September 14, 2007 at 5:02 pm #616464I really like the little sketches Melody does on the COAs for the Ebay dragons. My IVEP Lap came with a COA that has a sketch of the dragon holding a flower in her mouth. It is soooooo PRETTY! <3 I need to frame it!
September 14, 2007 at 5:28 pm #616465I know…I liked them as well. And it is so more confusing to me now.

The sketches are my FAVORITE!!! I will seriously pay gobs more for a piece if I know there’s going to be a sketch on the COA…which is probably silly of me, but it’s true.

Yeah, the sketches are great. Would you mind posting a pic of yours, travistie?

I’ll see what I can do. I have a really lousy camera, and I still need to set myself up on one of those photo bucket websites. I’ll try my best GB!
September 15, 2007 at 5:29 am #616469Thanks. 😀
