Have you ever thought about making your wonderful creatures into carousel creatures???? *sorry if this has already been asked* 8) 😀 8)

Here is a few links to pics I searched up since this a very hard thing to photo…
It is the World’s largest Carousel at the House On a Rock located in Wisconsin. This is the most beautiful thing in the world to see! The whole house is fabulous, and if you search it you can read up on it. If you have been there, you never forget it, and if you like antiques, this is the place!
BTW there is NOT 1 single solitary plain old horse on this whole carousel. They line the walls in ranks. Every beast or figure has a mythical, and fantasy issue with it, that makes it not a horse, and not a human. The angles hanging from the ceiling are full sized mannequins with wooden wings.
If you ever decide to travel to Wisconsin to go to the Dells, then by all means make sure you have time to go to The House on a Rock and see the wonderful things there are to see there. (Shameless plug for another state’s vacation spot! 😀 )

May 7, 2009 at 5:28 am #764040Looking at the sizes of Windstones, that would be one big carousel.

May 7, 2009 at 6:03 am #764042Ditto that! Except for the shipping charges.

Yikes! I know! But you would buy a piece at a time… 😀 😉 😛
May 7, 2009 at 7:54 am #764044Oh, I see. You mean there could be a seperate base, with a certain number of spots to fill with pieces you can buy one at a time… Yeah, that’s a neat idea.

Yes! That is all I have seen, each piece has its own base. A complete carousel would either be tooo large or too small.

Thanks for those links, WC. I love carousels. 🙂
May 7, 2009 at 10:44 pm #764047At my parents house they have a full size carousel War horse as you walk in. He’s mounted on marble. My dad’s friend carves carousel horses as a hobby. I have one in my room as well. Shes white with Ivy along with butterfly’s and ladybugs all over her, she even has a fox hiding under her saddle. Next time I go home I will take pictures if anyone wants to see.
May 7, 2009 at 11:48 pm #764048I’d *love* to see that. I love carousels, always have. There used to be a great carousel museum out in PA at Peddler’s Village. The carousel is still there, but they turned the museum into a kid’s game arcade. 🙁
May 8, 2009 at 11:25 pm #764049I would love to see pictures, too, Griffinlover!
Tasgrs, do you remember the old beautiful one they had in Seaside Heights?
May 9, 2009 at 12:24 am #764050I sure do! I remember when they took it out to repaint the horses not too terribly long ago. They’d done a gorgeous job on it. It’s been a long time since I’ve been down to Seaside…..
Have you ever seen the one in Ocean City, NJ? The horses were all white, but they had real horse hair manes and tails, and they actually did the catch the brass ring, get a free ride thing. 8)May 9, 2009 at 2:10 am #764051The carousel in Santa Cruz, CA is like that! That carousel is a national monument now.
