I’ve always found it interesting how different scents appeal to different people. Especially candle scents. What’s your favorite scent of candle?
mine are: pomegranate, lemon, cinnamon, melon
just a silly question, but I really am curious to know. π πI prefer the musky earthy spicy ones. we don’t use scented candles around here because John is very sensitive to chemicals and scents, but I stick one in the fireplace sometimes.
My favorite “life scents” are rain on cement, horses, and breast fed baby’s heads. The bottle fed ones don’t smell as nice.XD I may have to go around sniffing babies now…

I can’t stand the smell of rain on cement. It really makes me nauseous.
I love berry scents and vanilla or coffee.
Sometimes I have Mike make coffee just so I can smell it! I don’t drink it though.June 24, 2008 at 9:08 pm #716807Phoenix wrote:Um, you put baby heads in your fireplace π―

June 24, 2008 at 9:46 pm #716810Do the breast fed baby heads smell different than formula baby heads?
Do the dogs tend to play with them like soccer balls? π― π

actually it’s the parents of most that I’d rather stick in the fireplace… π
June 24, 2008 at 11:14 pm #716813I totally hear what you’re saying!
Mike took me to IHOP for breakfast before work one morning. There was a family with three kids. Two were running around the restraunt and the other was screaming. The parents were oblivious and didn’t care that their kids were acting like heathens!
Ugg! I’ll never go back there again.
I never let my kids disturb other people’s meals. If they got loud, they were taken outside until we could beat them in private π
It makes us feel good that everyone tells us what great manners and what good kids they are.
Not that they don’t do stupid stuff, but they always have to make up for it themselves.

Me too! Especially after summer storm.
July 4, 2008 at 4:42 pm #716815I’m weird, I guess — I just don’t like things that smell like foods!
Citrus can be an exception, but it depends on the candle — most “lemon” candles smell like dish soap or Kool-Aid to me, but I have a “Pink Grapefruit” candle by Yankee and a “Sage and Citrus” by a company I forget the name of (they’re a big one, though) that I ADORE.
Let’s see… I love rose, and lilac, and lavender too; also less predictable things, like my “mix” candles (a blend of 2-3 other scents the company makes) that are “Cilantro and Citrus” + “Pear Blossom” + “Peppered Jasmine” — which doesn’t SOUND good, but is! π I also have a wonderful Tangerine-Chamomile-Spearmint candle that I love!
I have a “Balsam and Cedar” candle from Yankee that makes me wish they sold them all the time (it’s one of their Christmas-only productions), and the “Mistletoe” is appealing, too! Votivo makes two called “Desert” and “Forest” that are also wonderful.
So I guess overall I’d say my favorite scents are plant-type scents — floral or herbal/woody.
