Yea, I was thinking of your black/blue male, too, Pegasi. Maybe he got the orange eyes of the old greens, and was mistakenly painted “peacock”…but not. lol
He’s not mine, he’s Tintaglia’s. I just went searching for the picture so she didn’t have too. The only dragons I have are a peacock and violet flame fledgling and a violet flame curl.

Around 1986 or 1987, I was walking through a mall in Pittsburgh near where I lived. I passed a cigar store that had on display a Male Dragon from Windstone Editions. I had purchased them there before. This one was different. It was completely black with orange eyes. I asked the owner and he said it was a special order for someone that ended up not buying it. He also told me that it was one of only five made. I’ve never thought to verify this until now, but since I’ve had it for almost 20 years, I wanted to try to establish some sort of history for it. Can anyone help verify this or recommend how I could learn some history on this piece? Thanks!!
We made very few black dragons! I’d love to see a pic!

The pic is of Tintaglia’s black dragon. JStockman apparently has one with orange eyes…. (How neat!)
October 3, 2007 at 1:39 am #622638I was wondering where I missed to converssation about the orange eyes
October 3, 2007 at 1:43 am #622639I need to put up three more posts before I can past links. So, ignore the next two…..

October 3, 2007 at 1:45 am #622641Very nice to know I’m not alone in my appreciation for them…..
October 3, 2007 at 1:47 am #622642I named him Blackfire…..
October 3, 2007 at 1:49 am #622643Ooh so pretty!
Nope you aren’t the only one to name their Windstones. I have a peacock fledgling named Reggie only it sounds like Weggie because he has a lisp. My other fledgeling is named Arnie. I have a black griffin named Aubrey, a Black Male Unicorn named Rayden’s Requiem, and a mother pegasus named Morning Star.
October 3, 2007 at 1:50 am #622644Oh wow. He is black black… no other colors or anything (or so it seems) and with orange eyes. He’s a looker, for sure!
Are his accents silver instead of gold? Awesome.October 3, 2007 at 1:53 am #622645His only accents are a little gold (claws and on the face). No other colors. However, if the light hits him at a certain angle, there’s a little violet tint.
October 3, 2007 at 1:56 am #622646He looks like a Male Windstone Dragon in Latex. Like Batman

I was wondering if there was a hint of violet on his chest or if it was just the lighting. He’s a very cool looking dragon!
October 3, 2007 at 2:01 am #622648There are a few spots on him that seem to have a a violet tint. The chest is one spot and if the light hits it just right, it really shows up.
