Can Someone Verify A Dragon From the 1980's?

Hello all. I am new to the forum, but have been collecting Windstone Editions since the 1980’s. Among my collection is a unique item. Around 1986 or 1987, I was walking through a mall in Pittsburgh near where I lived. I passed a cigar store that had on display a Male Dragon from Windstone Editions. I had purchased them there before. This one was different. It was completely black with orange eyes. I asked the owner and he said it was a special order for someone that ended up not buying it. He also told me that it was one of only five made. I’ve never thought to verify this until now, but since I’ve had it for almost 20 years, I wanted to try to establish some sort of history for it. Can anyone help verify this or recommend how I could learn some history on this piece? Thanks!!

Oooh, another black dragon! I have a male dragon that at first glance looks all black. Under the light he has shades of blue and purple on him. I bought him in Texas in the late 80’s. I was told that he was a prototype for a new color. There’s a picture of him in the “Old Mother” thread under “Ask Melody”. I’m really curious to see what yours looks like.

The flash shows the purple and blue shading on the large scales. Otherwise in normal light, he looks mostly black. His eye is a darker blue too.

Yea, I was thinking of your black/blue male, too, Pegasi. Maybe he got the orange eyes of the old greens, and was mistakenly painted “peacock”…but not. lol
