Hi! I really want an oriental dragon, the one with the globe in his mouth. I found a red one online for $189. I don’t know anything about the value of orientals. Is this a normal price, too expensive, cheap…? Please help!

That was around list price, I believe….I think that is what I paid for mine from a store. He is called the Sun Dragon…here are mine…minus the Pearl Gold Sun…
February 25, 2008 at 2:05 am #669687blueish one called as far as color? Not the more purple one (is that peacock?) but the one in back. I’m guessing you don’t have any for sale? 🙂
February 25, 2008 at 2:11 am #669688The one in the very back on the left is a Dark Jade Oriental dragon. There were two versions of the Jade and two of the Peacock – a light and dark on both.

Starting from the front…there are two small orientals in the light and dark version of peacock.
Then the dark peacock oriental and behind her is the small oriental emerald.
The last row is the ruby sun dragon, emerald sun dragon and the jade oriental (she is the dark version of the emerald)
I also have a Pearl Gold Sun Dragon, that is not pictured. And, no, sorry, none are for sale 🙂
But good luck in your collecting 🙂
February 25, 2008 at 4:17 am #669690Hi! That website didn’t have too many pieces listed on it..? Does anyone know what a white lap dragon is worth? I found one for sale and really want one but the person wants $700. There’s no way in heck I’m getting it but I’m wondering if it’s worth that much? She says it’s worth $1,400. I want one badly but could never spend that much on one, I think that I spend too much on new ones that are $150 LOL
February 25, 2008 at 4:20 am #669691That’s ridiculous. $250-$300 tops for a mint white lap dragon.
February 25, 2008 at 4:21 am #669692I really like the peacock ones…they are so cute… 😆

You have to change the setting in the drop down box marked “Type” to turn up other pieces than the special Windstone auctions. From Oct. 2006 to Sept. 2007 there were 10 mint White Lap Dragons sold. Highest sale price was $350.00 and lowest sale price was $142.49. Averge of the 10 was $263.10. No way is the white lap worth $700 much less $1,400. Not right now at least.
February 25, 2008 at 4:04 pm #669694I didn’t think he’d be worth $1,000 or more! I figured about $300ish. I e-mailed her the link, we’ll see if she changes her mind. Her e-mail said she’s been researching them ever since they retired the color and they sell for upwards of $1,400 but she’d sell for $700. That seems odd because if he was worth over a thousand why would she sell him for 700.

She either doesn’t know what she’s talking about, or she’s greedy and hopes you don’t know any better. I wouldn’t buy from her. It sounds like she will try to rip you off, no matter what. There will be more. They are on Ebay occassionally.
February 25, 2008 at 8:20 pm #669696Hopefully doesn’t know 🙁 I e-mailed her the site and asked if she’d take less. I guess we will see 🙁 It’s been a cruddy couple of days, the scratcher and lap I found for $144 each I got a call from the store saying they didn’t have them after I had placed the order
February 25, 2008 at 8:41 pm #669697That happens alot with websites. 😕 Yeah, that white dragon is way overpriced. Dont know where they do their research…. maybe at www dot letsripsomeoneoff dot com… Good luck with your search. 🙂 You can always list in the flea market if you are looking. Sometimes you get lucky.
