I have decided to start a thread to salute the art of brewing various kinds of coffee with some useless information about each way of brewing and pics showing each step, starting when I find my cam dock…. ๐
June 8, 2010 at 2:10 am #817247AAH! Caffeine! <3 It keeps me alive at work….. ๐
July 22, 2010 at 12:01 am #817248Red Bull, Red Bull, Red Bull!!
Funny thing is, I used to hate the taste of Red Bull. I thought that the taste resembled carbonated cough syrup or something, but after my brain got a load of all that sugar and caffeine, I somehow began to enjoy it. (I only drink the diet one now though) My favorite energy drink (and the first one I tried) was called Stacker 2 YJ Stinger, (in sinful citrus) but I’m pretty sure that the citrus flavor has been discontinued. ๐ Now, I’m not a huge fan of energy drinks, (and Red Bull can make me nauseous) but I just thought I’d contribute to this thread.
July 22, 2010 at 1:14 am #817249mmmmm,smell the fresh groundmmmmm ๐ Per cup-I grind mine fresh from Hazelnut beans, boil my water for a cup,put fresh ground in French Press, pour in water, while putting in my sugar and creamer in my cup,the coffee cooks.Stir coffee in press and plunge grounds, pour in cup and voila’ a great cup of coffee.
I am the only one that drinks it so I don’t need a pot that to me,sits and gets over-cooked,no wasted coffee and I get one fresh ground/brewed cup at the timemmmmmmm ๐Every act matters. No matter how small๐

Male Hearth....one day๐คDream on.July 22, 2010 at 7:09 am #817250I love caffeine, but I get it from Diet Pepsi. Twice I’ve tried to cut diet soda out of my diet (for no other reason than I want to reduce my artificial sweetner intake), but after 6 months or so, I start drinking it again for the caffeine. I tried to replace it with tea or coffee, but I hate their taste unless I mask it with syrups, which then defeats the point of drinking them because it’s no healthier than soda at that point. Hmm, I should try caffeinated water. Maybe I’ll buy some tomorrow….
Sorry to crash the coffee thread ๐ณ

Me too — I forgot that the subject was exclusively coffee. ๐ณ

I am exactly the same way. (Except I drink diet iced tea or Coke for caffeine) I’m still such a baby when it comes to coffee, and to me, expresso tastes like dirt. :puke:
I’ll eat coffee ice cream on occasion, but it’s got to be mocha, with chocolate chips… :yum:July 22, 2010 at 11:45 pm #817253Thanks, bodine ๐

I consider coffee an acquired taste (same with beer for me). And I’m just not dedicated enough to consume the amount needed to acquire that taste. =P
And I’m pretty sure expresso has some dirt in it. It’s boiled dirt so it’s sterilized, so no worries ๐
November 17, 2010 at 3:52 am #817254Can’t have a latte without espresso! I would never drink espresso alone, but there are too many awesome coffee drinks that involve it for me to shun it ๐
Lattes are my favorite though – half milk, half espresso, just a leetle bit of sweetie added.
Also, this isn’t coffee, but the coffee shop serves a thing called a Steamer which is just steamed milk with flavored syrup added. It’s so delicious and it’s great for when you want something hot but don’t want the caffeine. I like mine with irish cream flavor ๐
