October 1, 2009 at 9:38 pm #785321I am not much on bugs that those things can be colorful! Saw a picture of a camel spider once–guess they live in the middle east and that thing looks like it could make a meal out of a small animal! Yuck! I leave bugs alone, unles they’re in my house or where my animals are, then they have to go!

October 2, 2009 at 1:20 am #785323Centipedes are some of the coolest bugs in the world. But, like spiders, I prefer a piece of glass (or a computer screen) to separate me and them 😀
October 2, 2009 at 8:52 am #785324At first I thought the one in the last picture was upside down. 😆
October 2, 2009 at 1:57 pm #785325*Shivers* As if I didn’t have enough bugs to deal with living in Florida. Our house seems to be millipede central (even though we’ve sprayed for bugs). We’ve also found one (or two) baby scorpians.
October 2, 2009 at 9:27 pm #785326*shiver* You know, bugs in general don’t really bother me. But, man, that black one with the giant mouthparts clinging to that guys hand just… *shivers again* The silver one was kind of neat with the coloration and the tail. Overall, though, centipedes are kinda creepy. No bug should be bigger than one of my fingers.
October 3, 2009 at 5:06 pm #785327Not again! 😉 Not more bugs! 😉

October 4, 2009 at 3:38 pm #785330I think that leaf bug is cool! Also, stick bugs–they’re about 2 feet long but they look cool as well. From what I know, they don’t bite you! That’s what gets me, if a bug looks like it can take a healthy chunk out of you! Bleech! Also, I like praying mantis, grasshoppers, lady bugs, butterflies–I’m not creeped out by everything that has 6 legs! 😀

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmOctober 5, 2009 at 3:55 pm #785332I’ve been fascinated by bugs (I called them woosies as a child LOL) my whole life. I don’t like stinging wasps and I HATE ants and many kinds of spiders but I’m all smiles when it comes to crickets and other hoppers, butterflies, ladybugs, and jumping spiders. (The only spider I can stand.) I love bees too, especially bumbles, I used to handle those as a child and never got stung! I used honey to lure them onto my hand. 😀
I think bees are adorable. They are really quite docile (not that I suggest handling them) and they are a great help to us humans.I also recently saw a pic of something called a potato bug (looks like a giant cricket) and I thought it was just so cute. I hear they can give a nasty bite though so no handling for me! LOL
And though I realize stinkbugs are a pest, I’ve been seeing a lot of the brown ones lately and realized they too, are cute. I tend to not blame the insect for being what it is, they all have a place in this world, even the not so savory ones. The only insect I truly think this world could do without is the disease-spreading mosquito. It’s truly a major pest insect.ANYWAY, thanks for sharing these amazing pics! Those centipedes are beautiful but sooooo dangerous! They are vicuous little critters if they want to be. I love the bug that looks like a leaf, such clever design. The other ones are so colorful!
