‘Parakeet’ is actually a nickname for budgies =P the breed is technically a budgerigar.

Unfortunately, this griffin’s inspiration is from a variety of photos (and my imagination!). I used to have a sweet little keet called Smudge, but I had to give him up when I moved 🙁

I thought there were actualy English “Budgies” that were different from American Parakeets…a little bigger and chunkier, but otherwise pretty similar….no?

We have one English budgie (Uncle Fester). He looks huge compared to the rest of them. 😆 He is also the only one that looks like a plain old budgie. The rest are mixed colors. I think the English are bred for shows…
