Quote:OMG! I just got back from my vet! What an angel!!! he just opened the cat’s mouth and popped his teeth out with a tool and TAADAA! Brand new cat! He is SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW! I can’t believe it! It was insane!
Just “Oh, there’s the culprit!” *puts scary metal tool in the cat’s mouth* POP POP POP! Out plopped 3 teeth! LOL! And it was only $47 dollars!!! WOOT WOOT!!! *does a dance* I still got yelled at for bringing him there wrapped in a blanket, but how awesome! I was like “I could kiss you right now!” He actually cracked a little smile! LOL!
I’m so glad, I’m sure he will start feeling alot better now. I can’t believe the emergency clinc didn’t do anything about that, but I don’t even care. I’m just happy he can finally eat and not have to cry the whole time!

That is a very good sign. We’ll keep you and Bubbas in our thoughts and prayers.
And why were you yelled at for bringing him in wrapped up in a blanket?!
December 13, 2006 at 12:05 am #515030I wondered why you got yelled at also. At least you where keeping him warm and shedding LOVE on him!!
December 13, 2006 at 12:08 am #515031Most vet places have a rule that animals must be in a carrier or on a leash.

Really? Most of my cats were carried in without carriers. I’ve never been to a vet that had that rule. Now that I have two cats that weight about 30lbs together they are in seperate carriers. Easier that way.
December 13, 2006 at 12:18 am #515033I’m so happy that Bubbas feels better. I hope you have many more wonderful years together.
December 13, 2006 at 1:07 am #515034I’m glad Bubbas is doing better. Hope he continues to do well.

Yea, I got yelled at for no collar too, but he just “mysteriously” gets them off in a matter of hours so we stopped trying.
He’s cleaning himself again too =) Another good sign. Thankyou everyone! I know that all your positive energy really helped him!

I have an older cat too that I worry about sometimes. Her hips hurt her and she’s started grunting when she jumps up onto things sometimes. She’s had some teeth issues too, and had a canine removed when I first got her nine + years ago. My hubby teases her and calls her the toothless cat, but she’s only one tooth less.
Anyway, I’m glad Bubbas’s doing better. I hope you get those nasty vet bills taken care of soon too.
December 13, 2006 at 10:21 am #515037Yay! for Bubbas and you! 😀
December 13, 2006 at 1:31 pm #515038I am SO happy for you Drag0n, I can’t tell you how relieved I am to hear he is doing better!!! That is wonderful about him eating and bathing himself- good luck with the meds- they’re worth it (the aminamals) 😀
December 13, 2006 at 5:34 pm #515039Yes! I’m very happy for him. Now I have a cold and we’re sick together. We’re having a good time recovering together, LOL
emerald, I’m sorry to hear about your tootless kitty. Does this make you feel better?
My new toothless kitty, he’s smiling with JOY he can eat again!
