Oh GOD! Tell me about it! Though I got this stuff online called “zero odor” that works PISSAH ON CAT SPRAY! It’s the only thing I’ve ever used that gets rid of the smell completely. It’s expensive though. A Windex sized bottle is like 20 bucks, but it’s worth every penny.

Dreamscape, Orion, Poison Dart, Fireberry, Spangler + Tigerberry DragonsDecember 17, 2006 at 11:33 am #515078I use Nok Out. It’s quite a bit more expensive than the one you use. It works better than Get the Odor Out thou. As a former dog groomer believe me I’ve used just about everything.
February 6, 2011 at 8:04 pm #515079It’s literally been years since I had to post in this thread. After years of battling the odds, we are finally going to out our nearly 23 year old cat, Bubbas to rest tomorrow. He has been our county’s record breaker by a few years now being the oldest cat at our local vet. Over the past 4 months or so his health has been steadily declining. We are spending one final night with him this evening. If he makes it through the night he has an appointment in the morning. 🙁 I am beside myself.

February 6, 2011 at 8:24 pm #515081What an incredible length of time to know him…only makes it harder, I’m sure. My condolensces on your coming loss. 🙁
February 6, 2011 at 8:50 pm #515082awww, drag0n… *hugs tight* 🙁
Such a hard thing to do… we are all here if you need us.
February 6, 2011 at 10:34 pm #515083Awwww, drag0n! I’m so sorry you have to let Bubbas go! It was like that for our Abbysolutelynotail kitty 🙁 She was our baby before we had human babies and boy did she let me know if she thought I wasn’t taking care of her “kittens” to her satisfaction 😮 She was the boyohs second mum and uber protector. One day I had Sean and Ethan outside on a blanket in the shade while i was doing yard work and Abby set up this God-awful caterwauling. I ran to see what was up and she had placed herself between my babies and one of the biggest rattlesnakes I’d ever seen 😮 She kept that thing penned into the corner of the yard while i scooped up me boyohs and ran for the house. As soon as we were inside she made a mad dash for the house where she got LOTS of loves and praises! She was just a few days over 20 years when Roddy and I made the decision to help her onto her next stage of development. It was the hardest thing we ever had to do – but she would look at us with tired eyes and you just knew that she was ready to go and we couldn’t be selfish and keep her when she was ready to leave. We still miss her but feel blessed that she chose to share her life with us. HUGS to you!
p.s. her name was Abbysolutelynotail because she was a manx and it just fit. We called her Abby for short 🙂
twindragonsmum and family and Loki and Pixel 🙂

February 6, 2011 at 11:11 pm #515084My condolences… 🙁
February 6, 2011 at 11:49 pm #515085Thanks everyone. I have had to go through this before and it never gets easier, but this cat is different. I am almost 30 now and I have had this cat since I was 6 years old. He’s just ALWAYS been a part of my life and I don’t know how I will live without him. I can’t even remember a time he wasn’t here with me. He is “Masta Bubbas” The alpha of every cat I have ever owned. He’s just the boss of the house and the whole neighborhood knows him. He’s famous… people who I haven’t seen or dated in years, when I randomly bump into them after years it’s always. “So how’s Bubbas doing?” He’s impacted hundreds of lives in some way I think. He’s a one in a million cat.

Like your Bubbas, he was well known to family and friends and exes, and everyone was sad to hear that he was gone.
I read this thread all the way through, and I’m so sorry that you’re going to have to say goodbye to your good friend. My thoughts are with you <3
