I’ve had him since I was 6 years old and at the moment he is in West Bridgewater Emergency Care Center being tested for who knows what? He’s already had EVERY test they can possibly think of and can’t figure out why he is so sick. So far my bill is just over $1,200 dollars and all they’ve done is keep him overnight on fluids and antibiotics that don’t seem to be helping. Since he is so old I was figuring on putting him down, but even the vet said thay at this point that might not be necessary and maybe his immune system is justtaking a bit longer to bounce back so my sister and I opted to wait on that and give him a chance to recover. So I just wanted to ask everyone to kind of say a little prayer for him. I’d appreciate it.
I visited him lastnight and he fell asleep on me. My brother also brought him a get well soon card =)

December 8, 2006 at 4:07 pm #514941Thankyou. My sister and I just got off the phone with the vet and now we have to do an ultrasound to try and find out what’s wrong.
I may have to sell a few Windstones after this.

December 8, 2006 at 4:12 pm #514943poor kitty 🙁 I hope he gets better. As an aside 6 is only mid-life, not old so he could bounce back! Good luck!!
December 8, 2006 at 4:27 pm #514944No drag0n has had this kitty since she was six not that he is 6 years old.
December 8, 2006 at 4:29 pm #514945Ahhhh, misread that- thanks for clearing it up. Nonethless I hope he gets better and you have him for many more years!
If there is anything else we can do for you please let us know- you never know we may be able to help.
December 8, 2006 at 5:17 pm #514946Prayers have been sent, drag0n. Good luck to you and your poor kitty. It’s annoying when the vets don’t know what the problem is. My horse has the same problem. He’s not dying, but he’s got a bad case of summer itch that isn’t. I hope all goes well.
December 8, 2006 at 5:19 pm #514947I send all my prayers and Love Drag0n, let us know what the diagnosis is if they find out…..Also sending you big hugs too.
December 8, 2006 at 5:22 pm #514948Good luck – I hope they find out what is wrong with Bubbas and he gets better *sends hugs*
December 8, 2006 at 5:22 pm #514949He’s actually 18 years old, so age is most definately not on his side. I’m so mad right now though because he was showing signs of poison when I brought him and they have been doing a million tests and can’t find what’s wrong and charging me a fortune. Now he has signs of jahundus which indicates the liver is failing. I swear to god, if he is poisoned like I said he was in the begining I’m going to kill them!

December 8, 2006 at 5:25 pm #514951Thanks you guys! *tear* I hope he will be okay, but even if he’s not I just don’t want him to have to suffer, but I also don’t want to put him down if it is something that can be treated without surgery.
He’s too old for anestisa, but can easily take medicine. I’m going to get the results of his ultrasound by 6 tonight. Thanks for your warm wishes everyone. I hope they help.
