Here is another of my tabby cat griffins – this one was commissioned by Skigod AGES ago…I’ve just now gotten ’round to it! Sorry it took so long, Ski! Hope he’s worth the wait! 😉
There is irridecent paint mixed into almost every color, so he has an all around subtle shimmer. But his claws, beak and wings are very shiny. I’ve put pics in different lighting below – the ones in natural light show his true colorations better, but the others show a lot of details and his shiny finish a lot better.Natural light:

Kyrin
July 25, 2007 at 2:43 am #603108Wow! I love the face, and the beak especially! You know, I was thinking about painting a griffin and a Kyrin, but now that I am pregnant, I think it wouldn’t be a great idea because of the fumes from the glossy acrylic spray. I was inhaling those fumes before I knew I was pregnant, so I hope it will be ok!
Oh, also, the feathers are really pretty too!
Great job!July 25, 2007 at 3:29 am #603109Oh wow, lucky Ski. I love the way the eyes stand out.

i still can’t get over the tiger one you did for yourself though, phew that goes down in pyo history in my book as a real best ever! 😯July 25, 2007 at 3:50 am #603111😳 Awwww, thanks guys!!! ^_^ <3

Have you tried the brush on sealers?? They do have a little tiny bit of a fume, but not ANYTHING compared to the spray on stuff…I seal mine with the brush on brands while I’m indoors with little ventilation and it doesn’t stink the place up at all. I highly recomend them.

Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough…
Or maybe one day… I’ll be able to commission you to tackle her for me… ~LOL~
