I’m going to try for them too. I had Susie set aside a hatching Emp for me a long time ago but eventually decided there were better things I wanted and told her to “throw ’em back” so to speak haha
Dont suppose you only want the emp?
I might consider…but I don’t have any of them yet in brown. But if I get outbid in the end, it might not be an issue lol
😆 Well, if I do win, I will be offering up the emp and the empress here sicne I have both already.
March 18, 2008 at 11:34 am #680170I just saw the auction. The lady selling these is the same one I bought the brown family from.
March 18, 2008 at 11:37 am #680171I would have loved the hatching kinglet alone…Hope you get him Ski!

Me too on both counts. 😆 Thank you!
March 18, 2008 at 12:19 pm #680173It’s times like this that I hate having an empty wallet. 🙁

I am not sure if I will be bidding on these beyond the starting bid. 😕 They could very well smell, too, though maybe not as bad, since they are newer… or maybe these dragons smelled when she bought them. Its worth asking if she smoked, though.

Febreeze is your friend. You can dampen the felts a bit with that then set them on a paper towel to dry and it won’t hurt the felt. That should take care of the smell issue.
I had a repair piece come in from a non forum member that reeked…the box, the dragon everything cigerettes…it was awful. I don’t smoke so I am really sensitive to the smell, I have to confess I only like the smell of tobacco “before” it is smoked.
I didn’t do anything to hers to kill the smell, but only because it wasn’t staying.

March 18, 2008 at 5:01 pm #680177Thanks girl. I will give it a shot. They are not the worst I have smelled (Pugmamas takes that cake)so perhaps the febrees will erradicate it completely. I have some on hand too!
March 18, 2008 at 5:41 pm #680178I remember that pugsmama fiasco. She must have been a smoke stack! Those were BAD!

You can get it at any pet store or any superstore that has a pet section. They sell it for fish tanks. Some places also sell it in the garden department.
I put the piece in a freezer bag and pour an amount of the carbon into a dixie cup and leave it for a few days, works very well.

KyrinThankfully I’m not the only one, I actually love it when My mom opens a new Carton of Cigarettes, I then make her let me Open the first pack for her!!! Just so I have that fresh Unburned tobacco smell!! Though it is one thing I’ll be more than happy to go with out once she finally succeeds at quiting!!
March 22, 2008 at 9:06 pm #680182I do not like the smell of cigarettes at all, but the strange part is I LOVE the smell of tar. Whenever I pass a tar truck I have to breathe DEEP

Haha! Gross! 😆 Tar is one of the smells that gives me a headache instantly. That and unleaded gasoline.
I love the smell of sulfur when someone strikes a match though, that’s pretty weird. I also love the smell of pipe tobacco and pipe smoke.
