Whoa! 😯 He looks great! 😀 I love how you made the black and orange areas appear as if they’re glowing through tears in a cover of white. The mane and fur on his legs really pop against the white, and the way you did the ears is wonderful!
I also have a top view, like they do for Koi in shows.
I base coated him, but he still wasn’t very white, so I ended up repainting him with brushes to get him bright white. But since prized koi are bright white, I didn’t feel I would do him justice if I left him the grayer white he started out as.
I also didn’t limit his coloration to single scales, because after looking at lots and lots of koi trying to decide how to paint him, I noticed that they don’t tend to be that way. Though some have smoother rounded edges than this guy, others had markings that were jagged like lightning, so that was the style I chose.

My husband just got another traffic ticket in a 2 week period, the first one we were able to dodge, since we had insurance, the card just wasn’t in the truck. But we’re going to have to pay for this one. *sigh* I swear I going to put a regulator on his car so he can’t speed.
Anyway, I figure if I do sell him, I can always grab another broken dragon later and make one for me to keep, but I’d really kinda planned to keep this one darn it!
Anyway, I will post him in the Flea market I guess.
