Well, since a mint sun dragon came along and my mom’s made it plain he no longer wished to be emerald, he will be staying with Kyrin so she can turn him into something stunning. Watch this space for updates from her! (I’m anxious to see it myself!)
It’ll be a few weeks, I have the PYO exchange piece to get finished, it is now in the details stage, the traveling dragon and kirin, a commission from DDVM, and several repairs to complete. But once all that is done, then I can get this guy redone.
So far he looks awful, he is completely stripped of paint from the shoulders to the tail. Ack, he’s half naked! LOL! Anyway, once I finally finish wrestling the paint off, then I will be fine tuning the break areas so they blend in completely, with any luck at all, even with close scrutiny after he is repainted, you would never know he was ever broken, or that he was anything but the colors he will be.
I’m not telling what I plan for his makeover, that is to be a surprise.
I’ll take some pictures of him in these in between ugly stages though and post them up for you guys, maybe one every few days so this thread doesn’t get lost.

I’d give anything for a koi-painted oriental, personally. I think I saw a few repaints somewhere on here (possibly by you, Kyrin?) of that done on repaired orientals. They were awesome! Awesome to the max.
Ah, well. Basically, I’m just dying for a koi-something-or-other. Heh. I suddenly hear my friend Jeff singing his mocking “Not gonna happen, not gonna happen, YEAH!” song in my head. XD

The Koi oriental you are thinking of was repainted by Whippetluv, and man I loved that dragon, when she sold it I cried, then when it was sold a second time, I cried some more, because both times I was too broke to be the one to get him.
He is gorgous though, isn’t he? If I painted a koi dragon, it would never leave me…mine!

Naked and eyeless…ahhh!
Thought you guys would like to see. All of his breaks are fixed, sanded, resculpted, etc. Now to repaint him, but first I have to paint a Keeper for DDVM!

He looks like an old statue that’s picked up staining in the crevices: a really cool effect, but not the same thing as a painted dragon that looks like it might be alive. He reminds me of that Breyer Halloween Horse from a few years ago . . . what was his name now . . . Cryptic.
