OMG Arlla, you did it again! He is fabulous! I like him just the way he is, I wouldn’t change anything. He looks so autumnal, like pumpkin pie and fall leaves and nutmeg.
February 23, 2007 at 3:26 am #542710you are my god….the most amazing pyo painter I have ever met in my life.
I want him so bad…..
damnFebruary 23, 2007 at 4:23 am #542711Everything they said. He’s beautiful. The blending is great and I love the light stripes on his head.
February 23, 2007 at 5:19 am #542712He is gorgeous!! The mane esp!
February 23, 2007 at 5:56 am #542713😀 Wow! I guess I didn’t need to be worried, then! ^_^ My thoughts on him were this:
I wasn’t sure the orange/bronze scales actually WENT with the color pattern he ended up with…
Blue eyes wouldn’t have been my first choice for this color, though it was for the koi
I chose not to antique his belly scales and I was wondering if that was a mistake
The antiquing on his regular scales didn’t come out as nicely as I would have liked…I wasn’t very lucky with this one..
I didn’t put any stripes on his tail or legs because I thought it would be too busy or messy, but I wasn’t sure if having no stripes there would look awkward and not tie in with his head
Finally, I didn’t do as great a job with the brindling as I wanted to. The stripes are all very regular in size, which they shouldn’t be…
But I suppose he turned out all right, listening to you guys! ^_^ I’m really glad you like him! He’s going up on ebay when I get back from my trip on March 5th…keep your eye out for him! 😉 (and remember – you guys can always commission me for something you like if you don’t or can’t get it on ebay. It won’t be exactly the same, but I’ll always try to make it just as good or better!)

-J R R TolkienFebruary 23, 2007 at 5:59 am #542714P.S. I don’t think it actually shows up in any of the photos, but his belly scales are actually almost pure interference orange by Golden…I mixed it with just a little cream. So it’s actually all pearly and shiny peachy orange!

He’s gorgeous… Love the brindling… and I don’t think you should worry about any of your issues… I don’t think any of them hamper him at all! VERY nice!!! 😀
