Is there a brindle empress with a different color egg in the works or laying around? I adored the actual dragon, but the egg kept me from bidding.

I’m having the same problem myself ski, I’m really regretting not trying for those rockfish hatchers. I hope there are more with markings like these brindle ones or the rockfish in the works.

I’m not saying it’s ugly by any means, I just think a warmer tone with that color dragon would have complimented it better. Maybe something like a lightly speckled realistic looking egg or something? I dunno. It’s just an odd contrast for me, the egg itself looks great, but just maybe not so much with this scheme.

I love the speckled eggs, but I think the speckling would have been too “busy” with all her patterning…. maybe a green toned solid color egg?

I couldn’t agree with you more! Individually, the dragon and her egg are both wonderfully painted. But when combined, they seem to fall a bit short on fully bringing out each others beauty to its full potential. I bet there are a few other colors to use with the brindle coloring that could make us utterly speechless! 😉

I just thought of “industrial grey” when I saw the egg, and I didnt think it went well with the brindle coloring of the dragon. I would have prefered warmer colors, or even a solid off white, but that brindle empress was one of my favorites.

I agree, the grey seemd an odd color to put next to the beautiful brindle dragon. Of course, that didn’t stop me from bidding on her. 🙂

I have my fingers crossed that a hatching emperor is in the works with a tan, ivory, or even brown egg like a chicken’s. And I think I would kill (okay, maybe not kill, but you know what I mean) for a full-size brindle emperor, where egg color obviously would not be an issue.

That is a Pam Or PS question… Do you mean the orange and white hatchers?

Darn I liked it too and the egg color also. But to each his own.
