I noticed that Olimpia has another sparkly dark blue one, but without the gold on it.

If it helps at all…someone snipped the Hawks Castle right out from under me and I was prepared to bid more, but I just wasn’t fast enough!
I know you get frustrated, but hang in there and keep saving a stash on the side. Sooner or later something you want will pop up and you will win! You never know, you may save a nice little stash and then the perfect thing comes up and you win it and occaisionally it isn’t as expensive as you thought. I got that test paint Mariner’s watchtower for a steal…
Just keep trying 🙂

The only problem is that there are likely at least 100 of us or more in that boat too- I don’t even have $100 to spend on a special piece or an OOAK, less $1000. Windstone can’t really make 100 or more special OOAKs to offer direct to us for low costs (not only because of monetary reasons, but in the respect of being fair- how on earth would they figure out who got what? And the moment they started, they’d have to honor that for anyone, not just a few of us that are poor..). That’s why they make the Limited Production stuff. Stuff that is sold at a set price but is still more special and limited than the normal production stuff. 🙂

Oh I know it, it’s not a practical wish, which is why is a wish and not a request or demand. But I still wish it with all my heart!
Barring that, I’d like for all the folks who have the money for these things to all have catostrophic computer failure and have no other access to the net when the thing I want most shows up, so only I can bid on it! *evil of me, I know* And unlikely to ever happen, but one could hope!

December 8, 2007 at 5:00 am #642954All these special auctions are killing me. I’m NOT allowed to bid cause the family “rule” is not buying stuff for yourself for 1 month before your Birthday or Christmas. I just have to keep pointing these pretties out to family and hope. *sigh* it’s a faint hope. 🙁
December 8, 2007 at 2:34 pm #642955You can tell one of us what you want and what you are willing to pay after the time is up and then you are not buying it until after the time frame, of course you would have to find someone that has that sort of cash and that would NOT be me right now

I think that if it’s something you KNOW no one will ever buy for you, that item wouldn’t count for the no buying rule. It’s not fair to have you miss out on something rare just because there may be some off chance that someone might buy it for you — not.
My husband tries to instill that rule too, but then he says he won’t buy me Windstones or even a gift certificate for them. So I just get the ones I want and ignore the rule. If he gets mad, I just say that it doesn’t count on stuff I know he won’t buy me. If he starts widening his purchasing options, then I may stick to his silly rules.

December 8, 2007 at 6:14 pm #642958Agreed with Emerald. And with the rare/special ones, my boyfriend doesn’t support/agree with my Windstone habit*cough*addiction, and my parents/family wouldn’t spend multiple hundreds of dollars on “a dragon” so sometimes life calls for “auto-gifting” hehe
December 8, 2007 at 6:20 pm #642959Yeah, though now that Gift Certificates are available, I am happy…cause now when my mother in law asks what I want, I can just point her at the gift certificate page…goodie goodie, she is generous, usually gift certs for Xmas is $100 and birthdays $50, so within 3 months, my birthday is in Feb…I can afford a sunset griffon!
Anyway, my husband gives me a limit and lets me get stuff for myself, then when it arrives I make him wrap it! LOL!

Rules were made to be broken…esp. when it comes to OOAK Windstones. 😉 😆
December 8, 2007 at 9:02 pm #642963Off topic, or actually back on topic… Hasn’t the Blue Sun, the paint job Melody liked least, fetched the best price for an OOAK Sun Dragon yet?
