I ordered a bunch of PYO’s so hopefully that will keep me occupied during the forum move but I finished my wolf. And suggestions on how to improve him would be appreciated since I’m fairly new at this stuff. 😆
He looks shiney because I used iridescent silver and pearl mixed with grey and black to give depth, I haven’t top coated him yet. And I have to say that I love playing with the interference paints!! That is blue on the top of the wing, violet in the middle and it might be hard to see but there’s green interference on the bottom layer of feathers. And I used the red oxide and violet oxide on the back of the wings.
May 29, 2008 at 8:26 pm #709447He’s pretty!
I think all he needs is a bit of antiquing to bring out the details in the fur.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I thought so, I’ll try that tomorrow. I’m losing the light and I hate artificial lighting cause I can’t see properly.
May 29, 2008 at 11:31 pm #709451I think he’s beautiful! 😀

May 30, 2008 at 1:34 am #709454Love the face! He looks dignified; I think it’s because of all that white on his muzzle.
May 30, 2008 at 3:12 am #709455Ooh, very nice! I like the purple on the wings, it looks subtle but I’m sure it pops out in the right light!
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!

May 30, 2008 at 3:38 pm #709457oooohhh, nice! I like him 🙂 I agree, just a bit of antiquing will make the fur really stand out.
June 4, 2008 at 9:08 pm #709458Okay, done the antiquing on my wolf and redid the green interference on his wings since it seemed really washed out:
And my new Kirin who I can’t manage to get her scales to be flat, you can still see the brush stroke unfortunately. But I still like her, she has blue interference on the pearl white bits:
