:hi: Question: I have seen a few of theses babies and I was wondering if anyone has a blk/g fledgie that has the chest paint going all the way down the scales like the O.W..Most stop about 3/4 ways down.Were there any painted in this way?Thanx 🙂

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.Looking at my fledge, the gold/red paint on the chest goes most of the way down to it’s feet, except for a small area say half an inch on the bottom where black is blended into it… hope that makes sense.

A forum friend is on the lookout for one to match her bigger guys.The paint goes further down the chest on the scales on them.Is this just the way the fledgies were all painted perhaps?Every act matters.No matter how small💞

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.It does NOT look like mine. Wish it did. The color on mine does not go down nearly that far toward the feet, and my feet (make that his feet) are much less purple. 🙁

Mine is the same way 🙁 . I still love him, but I would have liked to have his chest completely painted 🙄 .
Sorry for the poor image quality, I slept most of the day from this flu I’ve got and it’s dark now lol.
Hopefully that shows what I mean better. The only scale that’s pretty much all black is the one right on the bottom between the feet. The rest above it, even though a bit darker in the pic than what my naked eye sees, have a light gold coating until it blends into the brightest gold.

I think that is the one she was looking for.First one I have seen like that,very pretty.I see,I see.Thanks for all the input 😀Ah this one came from a local shop that was selling Windstones so I’m not sure how old it might be as they might have had it for a while before I bought it. I wonder if Windstone started the batches with the full painted chest and then changed to lesser paint? Or the other way around even? I’ve only been collecting for about 2 years and the Black Gold Fledgling and Lap were my first pieces that got me into the hobby. ^_^

I have two, and they’re vastly different from each other in the paint department.
(IGNORE the red eyes…I switched his eyes so I could see what he’d look like with red eyes.)
Basically what I’m looking for is the fledgie on the right (all that pretty gold paint on the chest) but I want the paint to go all the way down the chest like the one on the left.
The one of the left is awesome, very very pink/purple, but he doesn’t match my OW

Wow I love the colour on the one on the left. Are the wings more pink/purple too? Mine doesn’t have much purple except for the feet.
