I REEEEEEAALY like this one! You do awesome work 😀 By the way…. did I read somewhere that you’d had Robert Bateman look at your work? How and where did you meet him? I would love to be able to paint like him! Did you get any tips from him?

I met him at an art gallery here in Ottawa. I had to send my mom of somewhere in order for me to get the guts to approach him and show him my work. If he would have laught I did not mom around. He said it was good. Yes he did give me a tip: to purchase a good camera in order to get more details in my scenes. I would like to meet Carl Brenders now. I really like all the details he puts in his paintings.January 7, 2008 at 6:49 pm #643306I like Carl Brender’s work as well. It amazes me when wildlife artists paint so realistically that the painting looks like a photograph. Other favorite artists of mine are James C. Christensen, Scott Gustafson and Robert Duncan, all of whom I’ve been lucky enough to meet.

The way they can do that is to paint on huge canvases and by the time they reduce the image for a print, it makes it look like a photograph.January 18, 2008 at 5:43 pm #643308Those are all beautiful! Wow, you do indeed have an eye for detail. The pandas are my favorite, those cute and cuddly faces are sooo much love!!!
