I’m so glad they will be production. Then I can wait until I actually have enough money for one. 😆
October 21, 2007 at 1:38 am #627346OOoooooh, I keep coming back to visit him….he’s soooooooo preeeetty…. 😯
October 22, 2007 at 3:27 pm #627347Although I don’t like red eyes, he sure is beautiful. This will be one the more stunning color designs produced by Windstone in awhile.

Oh good I’m glad to see I’m not the only one that doesn’t like the red eyes on him.

I don’t like them either… but the colors on him are WOW! I love it!!!
What about yellow or orange eyes? (Heck, either way I’ll buy the whole family in time!) 🙂
October 22, 2007 at 7:01 pm #627350The red eyes aren’t my favorite either but I love the colors on the griffin!
October 22, 2007 at 7:05 pm #627351I usually don’t care for the red, but when placed with certain color schemes I think they work out for a very dramatic effect…I really like the red on these guys, but don’t care for them on the gold dragons…I think they should’ve had green eyes… 🙂
October 22, 2007 at 7:07 pm #627352I’ve never really be fond of the griffins in the past, but I think this will be my first. He’s gorgeous, such wonderful colors.

I like the red eyes on the Gold Dragons, but not so much on this guy. I tend to not worry too much about eye color though. I’ll decide whether I’m getting a family or not once I see them in person.
October 22, 2007 at 11:10 pm #627354While were talking about Black griffins in general, my black violet dark beak mama arrived today- but she was missing her tail ring jewel (but Windstone is sending it to me so no worries. I just hope I glue it in there properly)!
My real question is: I know that the female griffins have specially hidden symbols on them. Ive found the 2 that most of you have, but Im missing the smaller best hidden other one (or more?). Can someone either tell me here as it’s been discussed else where openly, or PM me if they fear any “spoiler” type of situation.
Im being vague myself here so I dont spoil it for others just in case they didnt read the other thread some time ago. But this is the first piece Ive ever noticed special marking/engraving on! Im so excited as I dont think any of my other pieces (past or present) have those hidden markings. But do tell me if you know!
So tell me where the smaller hidden treasures are cause Im about going looking for them! Now watch, there are probably none other than the 2 big ones I found! Either way Im excited. And boy are these gals heavy!
October 22, 2007 at 11:15 pm #627355Nope there are three things hidden on the female griffin (that we know of). The third thing is hidden under the right wing (near the back haunches) and it’s TINY. Here’s the Easter Egg thread.

Thank you! And how in the world any of you spotted the third and tiny one (and could make it out) on your own, you ppl are freakin’ amazing! And definitely dont need glasses!
October 23, 2007 at 1:49 am #627357I had a hard time seeing that last one on the brown mother griffin and had to move her into strong light in order to see it. I don’t envy you looking for it on the black mother. Part of how I spotted it was the shadows of the lines. Oh and I wear glasses as I have had astigmatism in both eyes since the late 80s/early 90s. I’ve worn glasses so long I can’t remember when I started wearing them.
October 25, 2007 at 2:29 am #627358The sunset griffin is gorgeous! Red eyes=love.
I’m VERY ou of the loop. How did you end up with him, PhoenixTears?October 25, 2007 at 2:34 am #627359PhoenixTears wrote:pegasi1978 wrote:Nope there are three things hidden on the female griffin (that we know of). I learn every millimeter, nook and cranny of these things when I paint them for 20.. 30 hours each! 😉
