The black areas on my black gold male have a matte finish while the black on my BG fledgling is glossy. *shrug*
January 14, 2012 at 9:33 pm #869145I know black gold is glossy, but were the other versions of black dragons less shiny and more of a matte like finish?
Actually, black gold is suppose to be matte finish. Melody once said she doesn’t like gloss finish on black.
I have every single black gold sculpt (except the riser), and, if my memory serves, all but one came in a matte finish. I, of course, recoated them in gloss since I hate matte finish. But because of this, I’m not surprised he came in a matte finish.

That’s weird because I have two black gold pieces, the fledgling and the coiled male. The coiled male’s black is flat, but I thought the male was not very glossy becuase I bought him second hand and the person let him get all icky and dusty. But my BG fledgling came from the factory and has a shiny finish.
January 15, 2012 at 1:14 am #869159Has anyone received their old warrior yet? Id love to see some pictures. I’m curious to see if the blue is really as bright as the store picture shoes. My prototype old warriors blue is a dark shade.

It’s already dark here, but here are some indoor photos. All with flash. The blue is pretty bright, but there is some variations, the tail spine scales closest to the wings are dark blue, but further down the tail they are bright blue.
I can take outdoor shots tomorrow. I’ve been wanting to share the PYOs I got for xmas anyway.
