hmm well honestly….I think human females are the only creatures that invest more time and effort into looking good….(although I know some males that spend way too much time on it)

on average other mammals spend about the same time in grooming…

and most of them aren’t capabale of vanity….hehe

Oh, fine. Your female griffin just preens herself more often than the male.

GB, you’re not gonna win….he wants the female to perfectly match the male 🙄

        I already figured that out Star. 😆 (That’s why I stopped!) 😆 😆

although the orange (or yellow) on the beak and feet…is darker than the male….that’s the most noticeable part…

            but I think that’s to be expected….

She is beautiful! Thank you for mentioning that Frozen. I finally realized why I like her better than the original peacock male. It was the color of the beak and talons. Making the tone/hue just a little darker made all the difference.

The wing colors are really pretty. I can really appreciate them more on her since she horizontal. I’m sorry she’s too shiny for your male, but I’m sure someone will want to trade.

Aww they look so great together. I paid for a black female and then decided to wait for a light-beaked one. I can’t wait until mine gets here.

I got mine in today also and you are right, my male has een with me for a very long time and is a bit dull. The female is bright and shiney and new!

Leave it to Susie to send you the fix, she really is a genius! I wonder if my Chicks will be here today?

I just unpacked the new mama and chicks. I love them. 😀 Mine are up in a darkish corner, so the difference in them isn’t very obvious.

the chicks came today…and they match the male a lot better than the female….they aren’t as shiney….hehe

and the feet are closer in color to his….

I’ll get pictures of the family together tomorrow…
