Well she got here today….
and I was kind of worried because in the pictures she looks shinier than my male….
but Susie had a quick fix solution for that….she said let her get dusty then they will match really good…..
and she even sent something to help with that….
but thing is….my male is pretty old….before hang tags and all……so the female is darker…..and shinier than him….
in pics they look pretty similar…but in person…they are a bit different…..
if anyone gets one that looks dull let me know….I’ll trade….LOL….
October 23, 2007 at 3:30 am #493104October 23, 2007 at 3:32 am #628687My male was looking pretty old for a while. He was my 3rd peice. So, one day I decided to clear coat him again. It also improved on the ease of cleaning to get the new dust off. 8)
She sure is pretty tho Frozen!
October 23, 2007 at 3:43 am #628688well he’s clean….I really don’t want to put new clear coat on him…it’s kind of like repainting….blah….
I like him to be original….
October 23, 2007 at 3:46 am #628689I figure if it isn’t a color it can’t be really repainting. I sent Melody a question aobut paint schemes and told her I don’t think I could ever bring myself to repaint. If I broke it and fixed it, I’d have to paint it the same color it came in. They don’t look bad together, but I know everything looks different when you’re right there with it. 😉
October 23, 2007 at 3:51 am #628690nah…they look fine….but she is very very shiney….compared to the male…he’s got his original finish…..
and it’s kind of glossy….but not that shiney
but the black seems to be darker as well
October 23, 2007 at 3:52 am #628691I’ll find out soon enough. 😉 I have to wait for the next batch though. I already paid for her, but I changed my mind about the beak. 😳 But that allowed someone else to get one if they like the dark tip on the beak. 😀
(I didn’t totally douche him with clear coat, just a light spray was all. But when I was young I never knew what to clean them with, so, I most likely rubbed all the clear coat off him that was original. 🙄 )October 23, 2007 at 3:55 am #628692yeah that’s why I was thinking….that if someone in the next group got one that was kind of dull I’d trade….cause this one is pretty…and will be rare…LOL
although the orange (or yellow) on the beak and feet…is darker than the male….that’s the most noticeable part…
but I think that’s to be expected….
October 23, 2007 at 5:35 am #628693LOL Windstone Dust! 😀
October 23, 2007 at 5:50 am #628694I think they make a lovely couple just the way they are. The female should be shinier – females tend to put more effort into their outward appearance than males do anyway. 😛
October 23, 2007 at 5:58 am #628695LOL…yeah but in birds…females are usually more dull… 😯
October 23, 2007 at 6:04 am #628696Hm, good point. 😕 But is that the case with cats? Maybe the cat part of her has the upper hand.
October 23, 2007 at 6:05 am #628697hmm….cats are kind of different….some breeds look the same…but then there’s the lion…the male is more showey than the female too….
LOL…
October 23, 2007 at 6:11 am #628698Showy, yes, but don’t the females take better care of themselves?

the females take care of everyone…the female lions are the ones that hunt….and bring food to the males….LOL
