I’ve noticed from the photos people have posted here tht the black griffins came with light blue eyes. However I was wondering if they by chance (accidentaly) came with lavender eyes?
October 13, 2008 at 4:19 pm #736245I have not seen one. Do you have one?
October 13, 2008 at 7:50 pm #736246Nope, there’s one up on ebay. It looks to have lavender eyes but I messaged the seller just to be sure. Item # 110299076868
October 13, 2008 at 7:55 pm #736247Ouch. D: @ his condition
His eyes do look purple in the pic of his presenting side. o.o And what’s that purple blob thing on his back wing? It looks like he got chipped and they colored it in with a purple marker. o__O;
October 13, 2008 at 7:55 pm #736248Which black griffins are you refering to – the old black peacock or new black sunset? There was a test paint black sunset female griffin that had lavender eyes.
October 13, 2008 at 7:57 pm #736249Those should be light blue. 🙂 The photo does make them look a bit strange, but that is probably just the photo.
Lavender (or liver colored as Melody has called them) eyes were not first created until after black griffins (The first version with blue and purple on the wings) had already been retried.

I think he’s a black peacock male. He has blue and purple on his wings.
October 13, 2008 at 11:46 pm #736251He might be a good project for a repaint…. >.>

Yep I just looked again…he’s an old black “peacock” griffin. I just hope (if he sells) that he arrives in one piece to whoever wins him.
October 14, 2008 at 1:48 am #736253I pretty sure the eyes are blue but because of the lighting and poor picture quality it makes them looks lavender.
October 14, 2008 at 2:19 am #736254I just got the reply from the seller and they say that they are blue. The lighting did make them look different.
October 20, 2008 at 8:32 pm #736255I’m the lucky winner of the griffon I think you’re talking about, he does look pretty banged up but I look forward to repairing him! I’ll let you guys know if there’s anything unusual about him when I get him.
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!

Congrats! 😀 His eyes looked the wrong color in the photos, lighting problems I was told by the seller.
