That mirror is spectacular! I must have missed that pic before or we were posting at the same time…Inlay work requires MAJOR precision! How much do they charge for their work and do they have a website?
September 26, 2007 at 4:14 pm #620496Here ya go purplecat:
I had to look them up, even though I have no wall space available. lol
September 26, 2007 at 4:19 pm #620497Oh, wow….Gorgeous stuff there!! Thanks so much for the link. I wish I could afford some of their stuff, I’m looking for something cool to give my husband this year for our anniversary and he’d love something like that. π

September 27, 2007 at 3:32 am #620500I can’t believe you have the mirror, Arlla! Obviously you are a person of outstanding taste! π π I’ve got the window version:
which I found for a lot less on ebay, purplecat. There’s usually a few being auctioned off but most of the time it is the smaller ones…Jeff, the artist, comes to craft shows by me. So a few years ago I got this piece (which took me nearly a year to pay for but since it took several months for him to finish it everything worked out!)
The picture is lousy – I had to shoot from the side so not to get glare. It is gorgeous in person. And heavy! It’s hanging next to my bed – if it ever falls you guys will be fighting over my collection! π
And I forgot who asked for the OW/lap pictures but here they are:
September 27, 2007 at 5:25 am #620501Melody really needs to release a production BG OW.

Those are beautiful hangings… such wonderful detail. Is that mother of pearl and abalone inlaid in there too?
The OW is quite larger than the Lap. I’ve never seen them side by side to compare. I should be getting my first OW in the mail today or tomorrow. π
September 27, 2007 at 2:28 pm #620503It does look that way, those are gorgeous!!

Oooh, I never thought to look for hudson rivers on ebay… π I’ll be looking from now on! I really want their small koi mirror, and the large Neptune’s Gateway mirror… I don’t know why I like the mirrors so much, I usually avoid mirrors! ;D

Mwahahahahaha! You have discovered my evil plan – get everyone on the forum hooked on Hudson River Inlay (Jeff is really nice) so that you spend all your money on them and don’t have any to bid on dragons! π (ok, I wouldn’t do that to Melody so I’m just kidding) I’ve been trying for years to get him to do a dragon inlay – he says there isn’t enough interest. But maybe if everyone on the forum emails him asking for dragons and griffins…..a BETTER plan! Everyone is happy! π
September 27, 2007 at 9:23 pm #620508Wow that would be spectacular!!!
I’m gonna get me one of the mirrors for my entry way when I get a house!
September 28, 2007 at 10:03 am #620509Dragons and griffins?! How cool would that be?? He does such beautiful work!
