I didnβt realize how hard it was going to be to to pack him up, either. But I know heβs going to a good home β the fanciest Windstone home in the world, I think!
Besides, I really donβt have space to keep all my projects. Iβve done 3 PYOs so far. Nirvana bought the first two, but I need to find some feasible way of selling others as I paint them since I simply donβt have room for them!

That would be a really pretty siggie! I think as long as you only use it here in the forum, itβll be fine. We had some thoughts about these siggies whippet made for us too, but again, as long as theyβre just used here in this small circle and have the proper copyright info on them, thereβs no problem.
February 9, 2007 at 8:35 pm #535090I would say just keep auctioning them, or doing trades here in the forum (from what Ive heard). That would be the two easiest. 8)
February 9, 2007 at 8:38 pm #535091Auctioning would be lots of fun. But I β and potential buyers β still have to deal with the horrendous overseas shipping. It cost $53 to send Nirvana her two griffins. Isnβt that a tad more than what most people are willing to pay?
February 9, 2007 at 8:41 pm #535092OHHH GOOOD LORD!!!! GEEES sure, thats alot of money! Well for me anyhow LOL
. Was that the cheapest way to send them?
February 9, 2007 at 8:45 pm #535093Thatβs what I thought.
Yes, it was the cheapest way. I sent them through the Swiss Post with insurance, and thatβs how much it cost. I was considering covering half the shipping cost myself, just so I can sell the pieces. Is $15-$20 something more people would be willing to pay? I know itβs still somewhat higher than other PYO shipping rates on E-Bayβ¦
February 9, 2007 at 8:46 pm #535094You know what though..that was for 2 griffins! So if shipping is around say $25 its not unreasonable to ask forβ¦..you see it all the time on ebay. I have purchased from overseasβ¦.yes it costs a bit more, but look at me, to pack it up Double boxed and Insure AND Delivery Conf. AND carefully hand pack it AND then ship it, costs me around $13. So $25 for overseas isnt bad.
Try it and see is all I can say
February 9, 2007 at 8:48 pm #535095I think I will. But life only begins after the tests are overβ¦
February 9, 2007 at 8:58 pm #535096You are SO RIGHT! I would do your next one up there on ebay, I think youll be surprised!
February 9, 2007 at 8:59 pm #535097Okay, now Iβve got to hold myself from listing him before next month.
I always want one PYO around, and my third, Xerxes, is the only one Iβve got right now. Heβs not going until Iβve made more.
February 9, 2007 at 9:01 pm #535098Understandable!
February 9, 2007 at 9:06 pm #535099I donβt think $25 is unreasonable for intβl shipping, esp. for a one of a kind piece.
February 9, 2007 at 9:08 pm #535100Exactly what I am trying to tell GBβ¦.it happens AND sells on Ebay all the time.
February 9, 2007 at 10:44 pm #535101If I could have a fire griffin like that, I would pay 53 dollars in shipping! Just state it in the auction! People will pay!

No problem here since I now LOVE the Flegies even if they are snooty little teen agers!! -
