Melody,
I recently received one of the LP Birmans (small flapper) from the factory and absolutely love the detail on it. I noticed you used a shimmery cream color (pearl?) on the wings that goes very well with the color scheme.
I was wondering if you will be changing the larger Birman flappers to have the same pearly wing color in the future? I have one from the batch before last and the wings are a very matte white. While I still like her very much I think she would look awesome with the pearl. What are your thoughts?

I was thinking about making all of our things slightly different after the move. Most of this would happen naturally, since we would have all new people, but maybe we could do intentional things to mark the change… such as changing eye colors. This could be a change for the Birman cats.
(I have been informed that these are NOT proper Birmans. Properly marked Birmans have no white on the nose. I patterned these after a photo somebody sent me of their Birman, which had a white nose. Live and learn!)November 17, 2007 at 11:53 pm #637620After your comment I had to Google Birmans. I see what you mean about not having a white nose. While I don’t mean to offend any Birman owners/lovers out there, I do like the white nose better. Either way I still think the color scheme looks nice.
November 18, 2007 at 1:52 pm #637621No worries- there are anomalies in every breed. You should see some of the funky markings some of our breeds have come out with that werent meant to be. It just makes them extra special and loveable. Plus, the Birmans you did are close enough to siamese looking or Id not have bought a bird winged one for mom (the main Siamese fanatic in the family all my life).
