Now that guy is cute!!! I got me one! That counts as my November purchase and its only the 7th! πŸ˜†

What’s that about a “november purchase”? Are you trying to restrict yourself to one a month?

Ski and I are trying to limit ourselves to only one new Windstone a month, not counting Poads. Somehow I don’t think it’ll take long for us to fall off the wagon!!! πŸ˜†

      …oh, Ski, I bought one too!!! πŸ˜†

Why not counting Poads?I dunno. Poads are too cute. We gotta get one, deal or no deal.

That pretty much sums it up!! πŸ˜†

Err- I wish Id known the bat winged ones were to follow so closely so Id have combined shipping with the bird winged one which I think I received notice went out already. Oh well, thats what you get for sparkle jumping!

Don’t worry – Susie will probably send you the difference back via paypal. She’s done that for me several times without me even asking!

ARRRRGGGGGHH…I kind of want both of these little guys…because they’re special, and they’ll match my big birman perfectly, and I don’t have any little flapcats yet…but I only KIND of want them, and $80 a piece is A LOT for “kind of!” >_<

I don’t dare go an look at them again. I might start buying Windstone felines because of them!

Agree on the price. Are the ones here on the site, signed or are the eBay ones the only ones signed? I dont mind either way but Id like to see the flaps go for $60-$65. That would hurt less. Im sure theres reasons tho.

Weve had Siameses all my life (and all my moms life), so anything close to Siamese flappers, I desire for her. She gets the bird winged ones (since so many of hers have passed over and are angels now). Because Dragonessjade is just SO incredibly awesome, she worked with me to get mom the large bird winged siamese flapper (as seen in my photo collection of windstones in that thread- sitting next to her most recent Siamese’s urn).

I have the small bird wing siamese Im holding back to give her for some occasion. And Im about to get the bat winged one too (which needs some touching up). So, I got the birman bird wing for her but didnt know the bat wing would come out too or Id gotten them together. I dont know if Susie will do that for me or she’d have to do it for everyone and Im scared to ask as she’s already been so good to me, I dont want to abuse anything. Besides, the email went out that my order shipped (and via USPS which I thought was different since they usually use UPS here… the bat wing is going UPS).

But knowing Im giving mom the bird winged birman, I get to keep the bat winged one which is more my speed! I WISH so hard as to :squeak: that theyd make a small calico flap bird wing so I can have a professionally painted Windstone one… and a bat wing one too because I had a calico. I have a BW tuxedo cat now, and though I sold my original bat winged one to a member here, I was surprised when I developed a bit of depression (shocked the sox off of me!) as if Id betrayed my faithful black and white feline companion of 10 yrs (my little familiar darlin’). So, I had to replace the bat wing BW one.

Ultimately my wish is to get the large bird winged Black and white flapper. But knowing me, Id also like to get the black bird winged black and white too.

So, in my round about way Im saying that I keep the bat wings of anything in a siamese color scheme and get the bird winged ones as gifts for mom. They are just the right size for her bakers rack- the large siamese flapper is pretty large up there but even she admits, he is gorgeous beyond belief and all her guests find him stunning. Hey, could be cool to turn retirees onto Windstones as most have the money to spend around here and many ADORE cats… and figurines! And in their lives, have lost them of course so the angelic bird wings might be great gifts for themselves.

I say expand into a whole bunch of color schemes for small flappers… like with the curls. So many breeds of cats to choose from (even solid ones like my blue Korat, Phoenix, in my signature! He’s so very Windstoned!) squeak πŸ˜€

Star? Does a set of flapcats count as one?

            #634872

            Sure. They’re so small… 😈
            Yeah, I know I wasn’t asked.

              πŸ˜₯ I want the bat winged…. okay what can I sell….

I wish I knew they were coming out so close together. My birdwinged has already left the building so there is no way I can afford to get this one as well. I could have if they were shipped together. Oh well, as long as there is another batch.

I want the closed eyes large flapper to come out in production eventually, I thought its facial expression was really cute! πŸ˜€

I’m not a huge cat person, but those little flappers are so cute. I’ve never owned a flapcat before. I remember seeing them in a gift shop window when I was little, and kept asking my mom for one. Of course she always said next time, and I never did get one. πŸ™„ At the time, she probably wondered what I’d do with it… since I was just a little kid.

But, OOOOooooo…. I’m so torn right now! I don’t know if I should, or not. I have the money available… but shouldn’t be buying things like this for myself so close to Christmas. So tempting!!!!

I’ve never seen the little flapper in person, but if it’s only 3 inches tall I would shudder at trying to get a teeny glass eye in there…I’m having a hard enough time with my chirpmunk sculpt! πŸ˜† πŸ˜€

I saw that little guy on your yuwie page. He is soooo cute with those little wings! πŸ˜€

Have you ever considered using glass beads for eyes on little sculpts? I’ve used them with some of the clay sculptures I’ve done in the past… and they looked pretty good. I used rounds ones, and positioned them in the eye socket so the holes are on the sides. Then formed and smoothed the clay around the eye to cover up the holes. I always used black beads.

Well….they are a ‘pair’. It would be like having only one shoe of a pair.

So I think you’re right, it counts as one. I know, I wasn’t asked either.
