Me boyohs were moaning about school starting next week – the usual gripes about homework, projects, loss of free time, etc. Roddy and I started to reminisce about high school and generally giving the boyohs a hard time about it… “been there, done that, rode the ride, got the t-shirt, don’t need to do that again…” when Roddy said “we need to show ’em Bill and Ted’s project”. I was all over that; it’d been ages since we’d seen the flick and me boyohs never had, so, don’t laugh, we broke out the VHS of “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” and Roddy and I spent the time quoting the film to each other while our boyohs snerked their way through it 😆 We agreed that Bill and Ted’s ‘senior project’ was “most excellent” and they (boyohs) still had a week in which to “party on, dudes!” I still get a big chuckle out of the fact that Bill and Ted knew the word ‘egregious’ and knew it’s proper usage 😈 😆 😆

Gosh I loved that movie when I was younger! Haven’t seen it in years! Think I’ll go look it up on Netflix 😀

We LOVE this quote! As a matter of fact, I’m preparing to paint that quote in HUGE letters in the family room! I most def think the world would be a much better place if we could just “be EXCELLENT to each other”. …and I really miss George Carlin *sigh*

My best friend in jr. high and I went to see that movie in theaters at least 8 times. IN THEATERS. We were totally addicted. And it has a pretty awesome soundtrack too! I had it on vinyl 8)
Oh, DM! You are missing out! Go rent it or see if your local library has access to a copy! It is priceless and a really great way to lift your spirits with some “excellent” gags! And oh my goodness, but wasn’t George Carlin young then, not to mention Alex Winter (Bill S. Preston, Esq.) and Keanu Reeves (Ted “Theodore Logan) 😀
