I recently donated three test paints for a benefit auction being held by Donna Ricci of Clockwork Couture. She’s been working hard trying to raise money for The Busted Foundation.
Hopefully there will be lots of bids, and more help for women surviving the aftereffects of breast cancer. As it happens my next door neighbor has survived breast cancer, and I’ve also known a few coworkers in the past who were survivors.
This isnt a “find the cure” organization, but one for women who have already survived the hardships of cancer, helping them get back on their feet financially after a long medical and emotional ordeal, which is often made so much harder by coming back home to no job, or bankruptcy.
I’m not the one conducting these auctions, though Donna is most certainly someone you can trust to ship safely, and handle your piece with care. There’s a couple descriptive errors I’ve asked to be fixed, as I’m not able to alter these auctions, but in the meantime I’ll post the corrections here.
These are gypsum castings of an original clay sculpture, the pieces being auctioned are not clay themselves.
Each of these are test paints, they are currently OOAK. I may produce similar color schemes sometime in the future, but I will alter the color slightly so these will remain special, they also come with a signed COA and I’ve also signed each piece on it’s base.
Absolutely NONE of the funds from these sales goes to me, all of it goes to the Busted Foundation, to help less fortunate women struggling to survive the aftereffects of breast cancer. I dont usually post my art here, being a business myself, but since this is nonprofit, and all for a good cause, I thought it might be ok to make an exception. I’m reaaally hoping these sculptures can be a big help, only active bidding can make that happen though.
Here is a link to the individual auctions.
