my incounter with a black bear! 😮
😀 I was sooooo excited!
I spotted this Black bear far in a farmers field on my way to work….I went to work then on my way back I decided to see if he would still be around. To my surprize he was walking toward me so I stopped the car and got out camera in hand and waited for him to get closer he was about 100 feet from me when I started to snap the pictures. I wasn’t afraid since I made sure that the car was facing away from him and was next to me, running and the two front doors ajar in case he would charge. He didn’t and went away when I made some dogs bark because they saw me move around my car. He was a huge thin male since it was his first week out of his den. Could you imagine his size after a summer of gorging himself? He came back to the same spot every day around the same time so on my way from work I passed there and saw him….now hunters are going to hunt him…:(

Don’t worry too much about your bear friend. I have been hunting (not bears) for over 15 years now and only have seen bears twice, and neither during season; the number of successful bear takes in these parts is very low! 😉 He has a great chance to be left alone.
