I’d like to see it, but I probably couldn’t afford to buy one (I’m considering getting a Wii when my student loans come in >.<).
December 28, 2008 at 3:49 am #689925Hey Nathy, have you ever thought of submitting your photography to publishers of childrens books? They are always looking for good illustrators/photographers for all sorts of books; from picture books to non-fiction and science books. I’ve a book that lists contact names and addressess for all the publishing houses in North America that are looking for the sort of work you do. Would you be interested in selling your work in that market? Let me know and I’ll dig out the name of the book (I think it’s The Writers/Illustrators Guide to Childrens’ Books, but I’ll make sure.) Just a thought….

It’s taken from the end of that big icicle you see in this picture hanging from my house.
And darkening the background to make that tree stand out took forever, not something I want to do again. 🙄

Absolutely! I love coffee table books anyway, and one filled with the photography of a friend would be extra special.

OK let me know. 🙂All righty… The book is “Children’s Writers & Illustrator’s Market”. It is updated every year and has contact names, addresses and phone numbers and what each publisher is looking for. You can also find publishers on the internet. Start looking at childrens books at the library or book stores to see what is being published. You can better judge which publishers would like to see your work and not waste your time or theirs by submitting work that doesn’t fit their list. Do be ready for rejection letters but don’t give up! It rarely happens that your work is accepted by the first publisher you send it too…

Amen to that! Do check out Canadian publishers, especially since you photograph a lot of Canadian scenery. There’s a lot on info here: http://www.publishers.ca/about-intro.htm
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.
