Mind the typos, I am forced to type this on my phone.
We had some really bad storms tonight. I had nk power since 8 30 and do not expect if to be back on anytime soon. Visit ed some freinds in town and there are power poles sheared right in half from the high winds. OnBoyer ave 2 were broken in half completelyand for nmore more with long deep cracks on the wood. Trees are down everywhere and y the was during enough to blow me off my feet. My poor kittu eouldnt come out from under yge bed andvi guess she us afraid of candles (fire). Who would of known?
Any ways, I just hope any one else in yhe way of the storms is ok with minimal property damage. We have almost 300 $ of meat and fish in the feezer…I hope it doesn’t spoil. …

To keep the perishables as safe as possible, don’t open the Refrigerator or the Freezer. Especially for the Freezer, you might be okay if it’s only for a day or so and you don’t open it. Once you do get your power back, check the frozen items carefully for how much they might have thawed – you might get lucky.Try not to use open candles if you can, battery flashlights are better – you don’t want to start a fire in your house. If you do use candles, please don’t leave them alone in the room. Stay safe!

The Idaho panhandle. The powers is expected to be out on my area for a few days. They said now power any where for alot a hundred mile radius. It was both. Very bad storms and now finding out the wind averaged 50 to 60 mph. Ill find some pics. Older poeple are saying thus is one if the worst storms in many many years. Recent estimates that 40, 000 avista cusyomers are out. I have northern lights power but I havbt looked up thir numbrrvyet. Again sorry for typos.

thrre r no flashlights left anywgere. We manged to get onecif the last few camping stoves but thrre is very little left. Lots of poeple panicked. Jn good news the xat is sfraid of fire. I learned putting a cadle o n tgr table keeps hervoff lit or not.

just came on 30 min ago.
here are some pics from down. The first tree missed laundry2011s bedroom by inches and landed between the buildings only a bit hit the neighbors house. The others a couple of other areas of town. We are still under a thunder storm watch though and my freind still has no power. I other news, while it was out, i played some board games by latern lights and met some of my other neighbors. was lots of fun, though the heat and stress from the storm flared me up, so i hae a constant fever, headache and very paintul joints. I just can’t win lately..
laundry’s tree
anotehr in the front yard:
one of the many fallen large and very old trees
laundry stands by the roots for hight ref. she is about 5″4″

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmAugust 5, 2014 at 6:28 am #917075That is so sad, such a big old tree came down! I wonder if they can replant it since it just came out by the roots. That’s good they got your power back on and hope your food is okay! I remember a few years ago we had a power outage from a storm as well and some of our food went bad. I hope things get better for you there. At least you had fun with the neighbors!

August 13, 2014 at 2:51 am #917432Here comes round two, and worse than the the first time. Calling for 60+ mph winds, 70 mph gusts, hail and severe lightning. Watching it blow in from my porch right now. Lets hope the power stays on, but if it doesn’t, at least I am prepared this time.

We had some rainstorms and bad hail nearby last week and some people just north of us had bad hail damage to their houses and cars. Luckily since then the weather has been fine.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameAugust 22, 2014 at 5:27 pm #917793I live in southeastern FL and thought what we had it bad in 2004 and 2005 but the damage to your landscape looks worse than around the community I live in. FL gets bad weather but in the last few years it seem other parts of the country get hit with worse things. When we are going to get hit with a hurricane we always have 4 or 5 days warning to prepare but with tornados, mudslides and flooding there is not much time to prepare. What I wanted to tell you also is put large bags of ice (like the kind you buy at stores) and pack it in the freezer on each shelf and it will stay for quite a while. I had a freezer go out and couldn’t get a new one delivered until the next day and the old one was full of stuff and everything was OK.
August 22, 2014 at 5:31 pm #917796it missed us. Just barely. but it rained out my garage sale.
