Ya know, I always considered the united States to be the country to set the standards and of being gracious and having good manners. If someone was at my house, whether business or pleasure, and my dinner was ready, whoever was there regardless of the circumstances, were invited to eat my beanie weenies ( no joke here) as well. I would never leave someone standing around twiddling their thumbs. What happened to just plain good manners?

I suspect there’s more to the story than that. Regardless, the White House might be where the President lives, but it is not just his house. It’s a place of governing, policy, and strategy. Netanyahu has been a huge thorn in our side and a danger to the alliance between the US and Israel. He is, as Israel has been doing for quite some time, using the US as a shield against Palestine and other Arab nations while they do whatever they dang well please. If the “faux pas” was deliberate, I’m certain that the message was sent. It might have even been a way to regroup before resuming talks. If the “faux pas” was not deliberate, then it likely was not meant to be rude. The man was left with his advisors, presumably to regroup as well.
Quite frankly, I wish we WOULD send the message to Israel that we are not all about saving their butts every time they slap Palestine in the face. We are an ally, but we shouldn’t condone the childish behavior of either nation. If there is to be peace, both sides have to grow up.

I agree with a lot of what you say. And I realise that it is the media and all their bruhaha. 😡 But at the same time, at most dinners you don’t talk business unless it’s stated business, you eat, bullsh*t, 😉 then business comes later. I’ve had people at my house I don’t necessarily like or agree with, but my manners dictate they be invited, and they are not left in the living room or on the porch while I eat.
